It's not a safety issue! The inspections should be taking place during the course of their normal maintenance routines. To the best of my knowledge this is an FAA issue. Yeah govt bureaucracy! :( I can't wait til the govt. gets a hold of health care so we can see how bad they fuck that up too. Jackasses.

Well, the latest round of cancellations were because of uncertainty that AA performed inspections properly AND that AA had secured wiring at improper intervals. So I think Gaius has the right to be pissed at all of them.\r \r AA has been added to my shitlist along with the ever present Delta.

LB they tried there is just nothing available they had one flight that would arrive around 11pm but to late and of course flights on Saturday but that is to late. Just a bad situation for a lot of peeps.

I got a seat on the next flight after my canceled one... I lose 7 hours that I would have had in Dallas but it's better than nothing. Don't give up too quick.

nevermind, just saw your new comment... can they put you on a diff. airline? maybe with connections?

dk it is funny you said that they had a flight that routed to portland for an overnight stay and then onto DFW i did turn that one down as well.
