Sorry to hear about your wife. But YOU are in charge of your own medical care not your doctor. If you want something done, demand it. If your doctor is a douche and won't comply, move on to another doc who doesn't have his head up his ass.

PS : my wife has also gone through cancer. If we had have taken the wait and see approach like the doctors wanted, it would have killed her. Take no shit from your doctors.

Unconditional love, and big enough to do stuff with.\r \r Sorry to hear about your wife, I hope it all works out for ya’ll.\r \r And to Tanks point, don’t take any shit. You need to do research and find a specialist, based on what she has. A proactive approach should be a good indicator of a Doctor that will take a dedicated interest in your wife’s well being.\r \r PET scans are very specific, they are useless for some kind of cancer. So you go to CAT scans and / or ultrasounds, Periodic blood work for tumor markers, depending on what kind of cancer she may develop.\r \r Wait and see is usually to see if what was done worked or not.\r
