$50 Price Drop Coming

Advance scans of WalMart and Toys R Us have both confirmed that there is a $50 price drop coming for the XBox 360 Pro console. The new price points will be $279 Core, $349 Pro and I don't remember what they're dropping the Elite to, but it wasn't much. Having worked with advertising before, I can tell you that normal lead time for ad prints like this is 6 weeks, so that puts us right into the Halo3 launch when this is announced/official.


The Core needs to drop to $250 or they are still getting hammered by Nintendo.


Also, for God's sake what is TAKING so long with the Falcon? Get it out already...


update - it looks like the ads were for aug 12 according to some other blogs i read.  i have to agree with ekattan about not spending another dime until they fix the damn thing, tho.  spending on $350 on a game console that is going to spend about 6 weeks a year in rehab is still a little silly.

That drop is just worthless to me knowing that it's still the same defective unit. I would never imagine myself considering the option of buying two consoles because of how defective they are. \r \r When they fix the heat sink or change the processor you will see a huge rise in sales but this won't help as much as they expect it to.
