The Beta is playing smooth. It is going to be a good game. If anyone is in, please feel free to hit me up.
This year racing season starts early. Now I got to actually get my truck together for racing. I will still be running the STRR Evo. This will be an interesting year. There are new schedules and one of the tracks is only running 1 race monthly so hopefully we will have more people. I am tired of running with electric trucks. That is all...
I finally got all the things I need to get this PC built! I have a few stability issues trying to squeeze some extra performance out of the thing. I am working out the issues. I have got a good stable setup saved though and I was able to get the thing online.
Anywhoot, I am really excited to have this thing up and running.
I noticed I haven't blogged in a minute. Soon I will hit the 10th year of Xbox live membership. It will also be my last. Before I joined, we had computers. Counterstrike was the game of choice. Converting to XBL was nice. No hassle LAN and easy internet gaming. I just tossed my old box recently. It still played music like a champ.
Now though, live just isn't the same. It is laggy and gaming is starting to take a back seat. MMO games are not comming to the console. Worse yet, if a game does not sell well the dev won't patch it. No matter how nice a game.
I can go on for quite awhile complaining but, I think my tastes have just changed. I am getting the stuff for a computer together. It has taken me a bit but now I am getting close. I still need a GPU, DVD/CD drive and an OS(Windows 7). It won't be blazing fast for a computer. At least not yet.
What it will do is get me gaming again. Hopefully sooner than later!
Damn it! I have been here for 2 hours and I still can barely function. The hangover is spectacular. I finished out the night drink Busch beer. I have no clue who brought that swill by.
I bought some Kraken Rum. It is quite strong compared to the Captian I would normally drink. Still though, undaunted I finished 2/3rds of the bottle.
I probably shouldn't have gone to work this morning.
Normally I just take a couple days off here and there. Every 3 day weekend is a 4 day one and if a holiday falls in the middle of the week I take a couple extra. This time I grabbed about 12 days straight. I sat around and drank alot. I am not kidding either. I completly relaxed.
It took 10min of being back in the office for some fucking trucker to piss me off.
I have decided that I need to move. I don't much care where but it needs to be a low tax bracket state. No family to bring along, nothing but bad memories to leave behind.
I met with some guys from Ford while I was off. Maybe something will pan out there. They said they will come visit when they are in town next.
Kudos to the jurors in TX for doing the right thing in my op.
This weeks fucking trucker is Joy! Well, this happened about 6 years ago but I am telling the story now... As always, the names are changed to protect the woodchucks.
So, I get this message over the computer. It was not addressed to me but I read it anyways because it came up on my board. It read:
Under other conditionions I will run. However, this is the 1st delivery and I was not prepared because of what I was told. Instead of beating around the bush, I will be honest. I have unexpectedly started my period and have bled through both pairs of jeans. Again, under better circumstances I would have run but I need to take care of the unexpected. Next week I can run as much as I can take - Joy
I knew right away who the driver was. It identified their name and their truck number.
I exchange glances with night dispatch and they looked stupified. Clearly this was a private message intended for their driver manager and it was not for our eyes. You would have thought the driver would have sent a personal message and not used the *ALL macro for everyone company wide, including the other trucks...
Ah well, live and you learn I guess.
I waited for my buddy Todd to swing by so we could check out the track. Once he arrived we picked up his brother Rick. Rick was drunk already it seems. We headed out to the track. The surface is chewed up. Mainly because the track was torn up and redone. I can't wait until it is finnished. Brian said he was getting more clay/dirt. He wants to try to make a blue groove surface it seems. The track will be loose and loamy for a bit. It always is when you try to revamp the entire surface. It is not as tight as it was last year. Still, it is tight for high flying, high speed 8th scale racing.
I have mentioned my R/C truck before and even posted a couple pictures. This years truck is a whole differant ball game. To go from wheel lock to wheel lock only takes .2sec. I have the engine about half broken in. It needs about a half gallon more run through it. I am going to snap off a couple pics before the thing is covered in dirt. It does look awesome.
I can't wait for Borderlands 2 to release. This game is going to release just as my racing season comes to a close. What beautiful timing. I am going to get the Super Fan/Cobra Commander edition. You know, the one that comes with the loot box. At least, that is the one I want to get. It is rare for me to get such limited edition game bundle packs but this is a beloved game for me. I am really sorry I traded away the first one. I feel like playing it. If I buy it though, I will never finish getting my R/C car running. I am already behind due to Skyrim, Amalur and ME3. I may never make it out to the track is I don't stop cracking out on the awesome games that have been getting released.
There was only one bacon maple doughnut bought today. I took half, leaving the other half to someone else to have.
I would also like to note that Fed-Ex actually delivered my tool timely yesterday, but the dip shit delivered it to the wrong building.
