Well, I got some new hours at work. I work Wed., Thur., Fri., and every other Sat... This being one of them. Not that bad of a shift IMO. Lets face it Mon. and Tue. sucks donkey dick. All the shit that got fucked up on the weekend is still lingering. Nobody is happy. People bitch and complain all day around here because loads dont get delivered.

However, all that shit got cleaned up by Wed... Leaving Thur. peaceful. Friday is dress down day and the company buys all of us breakfast. How sweet it is!

I was sizing up the competition for RC Car racing this summer. With my hours at work, I will need to race at a differant track. Its a big track. Very high jumps and whoop-de-whoops. There are only 2 bad turns though. They race 8th scale buggys and Truggys(a 8th scale buggy with monster truck tires and bigger eng), 4wd 10th scale buggys and Monster Trucks(my class). The competition is tough here.

At the old track it was all about taking clean corners and not flipping off the jumps. The track surface was hard packed dirt. Very high grip and I ran in the fastest(top speed wise) class and had one of the biggest motors available. The only truck that could compete in the A-Main was the Revo. T-maxx usually qualified in the B-main and C-main, but did well all around...

The new track is about big power. There are 8th scale monster trucks(mine is 10th scale) and most everyone runs a big block. Its about clearing the WDWs and the double jumps. 1 dude cleared the small triple. This is bad for me. I run a small block. I lack alot of power compared to these others. Whats worse is these are bigger heavier trucks. I have always said rubbing is racing but some of these models have 2-3lbs more weight than me. They got bigger tires too... My only saving grace is going to be my super light weight, I should be able to play keep away and simply out corner the competition... There is a new OS .21tm small block that is a drop in replacement for my TRX3.3(.20cid) and with a real big power boost as well. The motor isnt cheap. Its about $300 and due to the power increase, that means new gears and a tranny rebuild ($200 or so). Igh...

Another thing is the track surface. Instead of sweeping the loose dirt off and wetting the track to make it sticky, these guys rake the loose stuff back on. It looks like old school loam racing at this joint. That make another problem for me because I dont have the tires for it. Tires arnt cheap either. Especially racing tires because they dont last good for bashing. So now I need to find the magic tire formula for my truck. Not as easy as just pick up the same tire that everyone else uses either. I really cant even use them as a referance due to the weight imballance. The track devolps moguls part way through the race too. Thats bad for me as well and it means the suspension will need major work. Ideally there are 2 types of trucks here. Those that are fast on the jumps and straights. Then there are a few that rip the corners up...

What I really need to do is run my truck on the track.
