thanks guys... appreciate the dog stories

so did my buddy.

It's been more insanity lately.... Dr. told me that I have towatchth e sugar and not gain much (any) more weight. So my diet is front and centre. Breaky is the hardest: but I got some low(ish) cal shake mix stuff with tons of protein... they do the trick. The worst will be no fruit over the summer. No strawberries, no ice cream. No beer too. Weep for me 2o2p.... weep.

Eulogy: To the Goofy Dawgs in your Life

My Best Friend just called, her family dog, Byron died this morning. I LOVED Byron, I mean who wouldn't?

Byron was the stereotypically goofy dog. Burmese Mountain dog/Dalmatian? split. Maybe Border Collie in there too. That meant big, and full of energy... and goofy.  He was a cuddler, who forgot that he could put his chin on a table without trying.

E3...Impressions... (not that impressed: or maybe it's just me)

Okay, I'll admit: due to circumstances (damn work) I am not paying as much attention to E3 as I have in the past.  But I am keeping up to date via my reader, and through chatting with buddies.

Last year at E3, I saw the trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction. A game that was NOT near my radar, in a franchise I never would have thought I would have ever played. But the game mechanics caught my attention. The more information I sought out, the more intrigued I became. Eventually it became one of four games on my gaming budget.

Hey you punk kids! Get off my LAWN!

Alright.... Let me paint the picture. Currently I am in a townhouse (a row house) where 3 of us have essentially the same backyard. The middle owner has done lots of work: the deck is almost their entire property... so it's broken up pretty good.

2 doors down lives "Grandma". Grandma often has her daughter and there 3 kids over. They range in age from 9 to 4. They always come over. And they come into our yard to play with me.. oh and Erica. (note: some people are kiddie magnets... somehow kids gravitate to me...)

Fun Crap for Kids

A couple of fun things for those with kids:

www.poissonrouge.com excellent site where you can mix paint and colour (there are primary colours plus black and white and from there you mix your won secondary colours and tints/shades... Lots and lots of other stuff. Erica is learning mousing skills on this site. Stuff for older kids too... Very clever and inventive site.
