Need some help!

I need an idiots guide to setting up a fanatec gt3 rs v2 with csr elite pedals.

so I have the pedals connected to the wheel and the wheel plugged to the the ps3, I can navagiate the menu with the wheel but once ingame the wheel doesn't respond and honestly I've never used my wheel on a console and don't know exactly how to put it in ps3 mode.  I've read a few but still unsure and nothing has worked originally I thought it was the grey button on the left but no avail, than I read to push both the right and left button on the led till the playstation sign appears, I've got what looks like a r5r show on the screen but still the same result? 

So ya a little help is needed also what wheel profile do I use since there's no fanatec wheels and how would remap buttons?
