New Releases: Week of August 9th, 2016

First full week of August has come and gone which means summer is more than half over now. I swore I blinked and July was over. I remember when I was a kid summer felt like forever now as an adult summer just flys by. Maybe it's the fact I don't get 8+ weeks of vacation to do whatever the hell I want with my friends anymore...sigh. Stupid working for a living.

Enough of me reminiscing about my past, lets look at this weeks games.

No Man's Sky
Release Date: Aug. 9th, 2016(PS4), Aug. 12th 2016(PC)
Platform: PS4, PC

Procedurally generated space sim with basically an infinite amount of planets to explore, claim and name. As cool as this sounds on paper I really need to play this one as infinite amount of choices sounds too much like work to me. I am probably being pessimistic about this game but while the premise sounds so interesting and cool I need a story, reasons to do things or I just get lost and bored.

Uno
Release Date:
Aug. 9th, 2016
Platform: PS4, PC, Xbox One

Yes this is the same card game in video game form that was actually pretty fun to play on my 360 even without that stupid camera. Whoever thought that camera was a good idea needs to be slapped.

Basically everything else is just re-releases as well so there isn't much else to talk about about this week.

Enjoy No Man's Sky and/or watching the Olympics!
