A bunch of new games are coming out as we head into June. Sadly, only one I actually care about, but Blizzard fans can rejoice as long awaited Heroes of the Storm drops on Tuesday. Supposedly controversial Hatred will actually be available for PC this week.

Oh man, I googled “Hatred Windows PC” looking for the trailer and instead of the game I got pages and pages of people bitching about Windows 8. This controversial adults only rated game, where you play as a murderer hell bent on genocide, was pulled from Steam Greenlight. The internet whined, Gabe Newell apologized and put it back, and then the internet Greenlit it immediately. I can’t decide if I’m in the ‘just because you can doesn’t mean your should’ camp or the ‘hey it’s art, and the ultra awful violence and morality can inspire productive discussion.’ But mostly I’m not going to play the game because the protagonist from the trailer looks and sounds like Jackie Estacado from the Darkness games, and 2K already ruined that with their terrible, unplayable sequel.

This Kickstarted DoubleFine game has been in beta for backers since October and available for early access since November. DoubleFine did get me to play through a whole RPG all by myself with Costume Quest, but I don’t think anything can get me into turn-based strategy games.
