Square Enix at E3

Square Enix is bringing, perhaps, the most diverse game portfolio of any developer to E3 this year. With several AAA titles, a new Kingdom Hearts game, as well as several portable titles and a couple of big gambles, Square Enix is swinging for the fences in 2012.se-banner

Hitman Absolution

Hitman: Absolution

Agent 47 is back and apparently working for a new employer. Game trailer indicates that players can choose to complete missions either stealthily or take the noisy/bloody route. New gadgets have been promised for this newest iteration and the kill cams seemed rather...vivid. Players can don the black suit starting November 1.

Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider Boxshot

Players who waited in line for this game were rewarded with a peek at one of the most anticipated games of E3 2012. More of an origins story than a reboot, the game chronicles Lara Croft's first tomb raiding adventure. A shipwrecked Lara fights for survival on an island, and the game centers around this survival concept. Accrued experience points can be spent at base camps on survival skills, as well as weapons and equipment upgrades. Our E3 team describes the Tomb Raider experience as very movie-like, complete with dramatic music, designed to enhance immersion, and near-seamless transitions from cut-scene to gameplay. Crystal Dynamics is credited for the development of this title, which will be available later this year.

Sleeping Dogs

United Front Games developed Sleeping Dogs as their entry into the "hard-boiled detective against impossible odds" category. It's Hong Kong undercover detective Wei Shen against the Triads. Sleeping Dogs features both gunplay and martial arts moves utilizing in game objects as weapons, like circular saw blades and kitchen appliances. Release date: August 14.
