Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

The Transformers are back. High Moon Studios is back at the helm for Transformers: Fall of Cyberton. Just like War for Cyberton this is a third person shooter. The graphics look amazing. Very crisp and polished game textures. The game features both flight and ground battles for certain Autobots that fly. The Transformatons themselves look great and fluid. The coolest part of the demo was the reveal that Optimus Prime can control Megaplex, an Autobot the size of a city, and command Megaplex to attack enemies.

Grimlock, a Dinobot was also featured. He transforms into a T-Rex and is essentially invincible. No issue taking out enemies with Grimlock! When not in his Dinobot form he wields a sword and shield and is surprisngly agile. The game features four player co-op.

All in all, it looked and played great. Transformers: Fall of Cyberton releases August 28 for Xbox 360 and PS3. PC version is available soon thereafter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

A new year and a new Call of Duty! Treyarch returns to the world of Black Ops  with Black Ops II. The game takes players from the 80's into the future. I'm a huge fan of the Call of Duty campaigns. I look forward to them with each game-more so than the multiplayer.

The featured demo was impressive. New weapons included a sniper rifle with a scope that can see through walls! I am unsure how the sniper rifle is going to be received if the rifle makes it over to the multiplayer side. It was very cool in the single player campaign. You also have the ability to control a drone allowing you to lay cover fire or take out enemies in cover. With all of the new additions both the intensity and fast paced action of the previous titles are still intact.

Strike Force mode is a new addition. It's a quick objective based mode featuring teams tasked with completeing a variety of tasks. The demo of the Strike Force map featured teams vying to take over three positions. In Strike Force mode you can play as either a human or drone zooming in or out of first person to third person depending on your preference.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC November 13, 2012.
