Update...People often question what this thread is or what it is for, so...
This thread was started as a bit of a joke back in the first few days of a site reshuffle. Since then it has been a constant trending topic for absolutely no good reason. It has become a thread where folk post just for the fun of it. It has no function, it's topic varies from day to day and week to week and often there is no real theme or topic. So there you are, no need to wonder anymore.
One rule, until now unwritten but it might need saying.
If you come here and find a post you disagree with? Debate the subject, do not attack/flame the person making the post.
This is our happy place, where we can relax and talk about whatever tickles our fancy. All are welcome here and follow that one rule and it could be your happy place too.

Derailed is fine, do a lot of that myself and I started this for a laugh , and would remind you I am an Admin and Global moderator on another forum where things are a little less....smutty? I have also been knocking around the internet since before the days of the web when we were all using BB's So I am well aware of the "internet effect"
But really does every other thread need to contain sexual references? Do threads containing nudity and simulated sex need to be stickied?
Right lets be clear, I am not offended, but I may have been, Most of the folk posting don't know me but the assumption is it's fine to use blatant sexual innuendo, suppose I was a new member? suppose I did find this offensive...What then?
This kind of thing is fine in the closed forums, but right on the front page of the open forum?

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't 2o2p always prided itself on the use of rude humuor. Perhaps its one of the reasons why we feel soooo comfortable here. We aren't mainstream and we aint PC. We try to be respectful but you still gotta accept our flaws.

No excuse at all, and as the site is trying to reach out to new members this "It's always been this way" is exactly the same as saying "everything is fine and we need to change nothing" I see you have been around for ever, and as such deserve the respect due someone who has supported the site for years, but it is a very different place, thousands rather than hundreds and because of that I think this deserves a little thought. I am not really talking here about what was posted here, it just made me think...if as a site we want to attract new members then our shop window, the open forum is what they first see...What is deemed the most important threads? are they about games? is the hottest discussion here stickied? No, its naked women and simulated sex. Fine for a back street men's club, but a gaming site?...I would argue not.
Part of it comes from knowing the readers are +25.
But mostly - we like it that way.
Age is no barrier to offense, and the we you refer to does not include everyone.
