Ok, let's see if we can get some Gears 3 MP going.
Time: 9:00 PM EST on 1/22/13
Let's see if we can get some peeps together before Gears goes all COD on us! Sign in on the Gears forum so we know who can make it that night, and know to look out for you. If you're not on the FOF tag - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET ON IT ALREADY!
Friends, I'm at it again. Last October, I played games for 24 hours to raise money for Omaha Children's Hospital. My goal was $100 that year, and thanks to generous contributions from my friends, I raised $170 for the hospital. This year
We're resurrecting Gears N Beers for 2old2play! Join us tonight for an evening of irreverance, tons of shooting (some of which may even be at the opponent), and a complete lack of political correctness. Bring your favorite beverage and your sense of humor, and we'll get started around 10 Eastern/9 Central.
Gatsu will be hosting the games, look here for details: http://www.2old2play.com/forum/divisions/gears-war-franchise/friday-night-gears-beers-casuals-62912-497262
Also, why do you send a FR to the new 2o2p Gears FoF tag? https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Profile?gamertag=a2o2pGears
So, in what I can only call a decision made in a post E3 haze, Doodi decided it would be a good idea for me to lead the Gears of War forum. So, here's a little about me (since I rarely blog): I'm a married father of five who never outgrew the enjoyment I got from the first Atari I owned when I was young - even into my 40s. I've been a 2o2p member since 2007, when I got my first XBox (I started with the 360), and am a big fan of Gears of War (the first MP game I played on Live) and Halo (the 2nd game I played on Live). I was lucky enough to see mention about 2old2play on Xbox Live, when they had a community playdate. I was quick to realize playing with adults was much better than public games with a bunch of mean spirited pre-pubescents.
I wanted to make the people here at 2o2p aware of a charity I'm going to be involved in with some other members of the site on October 15th-16th. I'm going to be participating in the Extra Life Gaming marathon to help the Children's Miracle Network. We game for 24 hours straight, and raise money for our local CMN hospitals. The hospital I'm raising money for is the Omaha Children's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
I would really appreciate it if you'd consider either giving or joining the marathon to help this worthy cause. If you don't have the time to help with the marathon, please consider giving to either myself or another gamer. Just $25 will go a long way in helping out. I want to thank you for taking time to read this, and hope that you will help in some way.
