Welp Season 4 is finally upon us (later in the day or tomorrow for EU) and they did change the 1v1 map pool!!  Nice!

Well I hit my goal of getting to #5 in my league this weekend (I think I have since slipped down to #6…but whatever J season is almost right?). I think season 4 should be starting at some point this week (I’m hearing people believe it will be tomorrow which I guess is a regular update day for Blizzard). I’m sure after my 1 placement match I will be back in Bronze but hopefully my MMR is high enough that I’m not too far away from hitting Silver.

Had some good games - some bad games....some so-so games.

Had a good day moving up and down the 1v1 ladder - bouncing around between 6th and ~11th place with wins and losses. I'm gunn'n for 5th tomorrow :)

Well I sucked arse in 3v3 / 4v4 with my buddies most of the night. So much variance in team games. Like I get double rushed by 2 zerg 6 pools at the begging of a game :( nothing I could do. Then I would take my 1 living probe and go setup a new base and just as I get my sim city going and start cranking out units I'd get steam rolled *sigh*

ROFL First of all here is some back story for anyone who doesn't know who these players are.

EG HuK might be the best Protoss player in the world. He is definetly one of the top foreigners on the scene and just won his second MLG.

CombatEX is a stream sniper. He's an ok player but wins more by distracting his opponent with trash talk and by watching his stream (a lot of pro players stream their ladder games live for the fans - they make revenue on the ads etc.)

The 3 Gate Robo didn't go too horirlbe last night - considering I didn't write my Build Order down and was just kind of "winging" it. Probably not the best way to practice :(

Just spent half my lunch hour watching some top tier replays from sc2rep.com It's a great site because you can search and sort your replays etc. I found some pro TvP and PvP matches and watched them. Good stuff. In one of the games (TvP) the Korean player built probes and then a Nexus! lol no Gateways no nothing. I think I'm too cowardly for that kind of boldness - I know I would get rushed. BTW that guy one :) because he lived after that risky move and his better econ took him to the mid / late game for the win. But man - that's ballsy.

Back from a great weekend.

The LAN was great. We had 10 guys Starcrafting it up most of the day. We did a lot of 5v5 / 4v4 maps some FFA's that were just insane. I remember one game a guy next to me was in the game for about an hour (the match lasted over an hour) and he had built and lost 4 motherships in turn lol Just crazy stuff. We played some high yeild maps (start off with a gold base and 3 gas at your main).
