During his tour in Iraq, my buddy drew a comic series that he is now looking to turn into an animated webcomic. The goal amount is not much at all and as you know, can really propell an indie artist.  So get out there and help a friend and aspiring artist.

Here's the deal.  Kelly has prints of her work that she sells online.  One of the contacts she has made through her blog has a business creating cross-stitch patterns from artist's work. (See here) She has contacted Kelly about using her work as potential patterns. The problem is that in Kelly's photos you can see quite a bit of the canvas texture.  The goal is to minimize the texture and potentially smooth some of the edges/textures/etc, without compromising the detail or sharpness.

My wife is an artist here in Seattle, and this month marks one of the biggest show openings as of yet. I'm doing my due diligence as a proud papa bear.
