Auto is posting another blog? I guess that means he bought another gun....
Yes, yes, I have......several actually, none special enough to warrant mentioning, but that is not why I am posting this.
Oh, then he must have made progress on his books....
Yes, lots of progress, but that's not the reason either.
oh....then, why is Auto posting a blog? Because he is annoyed....(and apparently because he likes to blog about hinmself in the thrid person because that's what happens when writers start to rely too much on editors)
Its been a long time since Black Ops 2 released. At release I borrowed it from a friend and played through the single player campaign. I thought it was ok, not great, but just ok. I then had to return it since I was tired of multi-player timmys and had alot of other projects to work on. This weekend, since I had money in my pocket and couldn't find ANY store selling Red dot Smokeless powder, Clays powder, small pistol primers, large magnum rifle primers, lead shot, .38 cal bullets, .22 cal bullets, 30 cal bullets, .223, 5.56, 9mm, .22lr, .22mag, .380, .38 Special, .357 Mag, .243, 7mm Mauser, .303 Brit, .300 Win Mag, 7.62X39 or .45 Colt; I broke down and finally boght my own copy of Black Ops 2.
My conmplaint could be about the ammo shortage, but I rant about that daily to ANYONE willing to listen(see above for passive agressive mini rant), So this rant will be about MULTIPLAYER!
Seriously, people who leave their malfunctioning head sets plugged in so everyone else has to stop playing, go into the menu and mute them to stop the horrible static and other horrid distracting noises, (resulting in MANY pointless deaths) should be forced to listen to One Direction songs on a perpetual loop every time they join a game.
Again sorry for not keeping up with this, I have been on the insane side of busy lately.
First in the past few months I finished the R770 project, the hunting rifle from my previous blog.
Then I picked up on three more projects....
I started and completed a restoration of a 1895 7.62x38R Russian Nagant Police Revolver (manufactured in1935).
A Polish Underfold AK47 parts kit (manufactured in 1973)
and an M16A1 Vietnam era battle rifle. (manufactured in 1963)
Since parts are nearly impossible to find at the moment I am just working on the basic restoration of the metals wood and plastics. so there's not much progress at the moment.
Also I have written a total of 4 books in the past 6 months. 2 are being reviewed by Editors, and the other two are currently with my illustrator....it still feels funny to say that I have editors and illustrators, but I better get use to sucking up to them since I can't draw worth crap, and my spelling and gramer suck. I really want to talk about them but at the moment I can't go into detail since I am not sure if I will be trying to have them published or publish them myself. Hopefully by the next quarterly blog I can talk about two of them, the other two will have to wait for another 7 months (minimum).
What I will say is I am amazed how much writing has affected me, on the one hand I have 2 children's books (and another 7 that are work in progress outlines) representing everything good that I can squeeze out of my shrivled little brain, and on the other I have two (and a half so far) of what can only be described as the embodyment of every horrible/sick/demented thing stuck in my head, pouring out across a computer screen.
As far as gaming goes, I have played through Bioshock Infinate 3 times, bought and faled to get into 5 other random games, and have been continuing to play Skyrim for about 60 hours a week, and have busted ou the old SNES, NES and Genesis and the wife and I have been getting in regular Retro Game date nights that normally end with someone (me) getting hit with a controller.
Honestly I'm still a bit butt hurt over failing to land that farm deal, But the world must go on.
Just as a quick update about me, I've finished building/modding a new hunting rifle and have it landing shots at .5 MOA at 600 yards (for those firearm illiterate in the group, it is really really really accurate.) The wife has me playing Minecraft almost nonstop in our off hours, and yet I have found time for yet ANOTHER hobby....turns out I have the knack for writing childrens books, with my sick sense of humor and severly disturbed mind, who could have guessed!
I'm really trying to be more active here, but my work makes it hard with their new internet policies, they take away access to 2old2play and any video game related site, but give us access to twitter, facebook, and youtube in the name of 'productivity' (they keep using that word but I doubt they know what it means.)
I know I haven't posted in so long but I had alot going on. For the past four months the wife and I were in negotiations to buy a farm....yes you read that right, an honest to god, organic, hippy, home grown, have a stand at the local farmer's market kind of farm, I was ready to quit my job and become a farmer, ..after much negotiations a meer week from settlement the entire deal fell through, it hasn't really been easy since the failure was completly my fault, and everyone involved was given extensive information on how and why I failed....not my best day.
Things have been a bit off since then, I have hardly touched a game, avoided alot of TV, and have been absent from most of my favorite websites, thanks in no small part to my work who has blocked every website but facebook and local news sites.....since I don't have a facebook account, I have become the new terror of local news story comment pages with such witty responses as "How is this news" and "I wish this reporter would leave their opinions for the editorial pages."...it may not sound like much, but on a small local news site it is practically scandelous.
Atleast I have a new hunting rifle to play with (a little mood boost after a few crappy months.) and deer season starts up next week. With any luck my next blog will have a picture of me, smiling, covered in blood, guts, and hair. Really I'm not a psycho, cleaning a fresh kill just makes me happy....and that sounds even worse..... I think I'll just go back to sulking in the corner.
Again...not a psycho...
I love old westerns, the grimy period clothes, the shoot first and ask questions never sort of wild west justice. I've always fancied myself a Steve McQueesn wanna-be, and as such, when I watch something like this.....
and see a Mare's leg pistol like this Rossi Ranch Hand
you know it will find its way into my collection. it may have the 11 inch barrel while McQueen had an 8, and it may be a .357 mag vs his 44-40, but still, it is a fun little addition to the family.
As I posted in a blog way back in V2, 6 months ago I shot a deer with my .357 revolver. I fierd 3 times, with the only shot that appeared to connect was the last, which dropped the deer almost in its tracks, and I only found one bullet hole while cleaning the deer. Well, Friday I got a call that the hide was finished and ready for pick up. So, off I went. I paid the guy $65 (after we were done comparing our side arms) and he dug through a pile of hides until he came across mine. I was very proud of it. and he said it was one of the larger hides he had come in, he even had a local fur shop try to buy it from him. Here it is.....it still needs to be streatched since it was hanging loose while it cured, but even like it is, it takes up most of the top of my tourniment size pool table.
So, after I gave it a quick look I flipped it over I saw something interesting.......
3 hits, based on their placement and proximity all 3 were kill shots, the bottom 2 were lung and heart shots, and the top one shot at an angle would have taken out the diaphram, one lung and heart. All this time I though my first 2 shots missed, I ran 300 rounds trying to figure out how I could have missed at such close range but still been dead on at 65yrds....and turns out I hadn't missed at all.
I was off sick for a week, so I came in to worktoday expecting to be behind in the gossip, maybe a little behind in my work, but the one thing I didn't expect to see was walking into the men's room and having to walk around 2 men in their underwear giving themselves sponge baths in the sinks....soap and shampoo all over the place.... I think the worst part of it was that it rreally didn't surprise me.....yeah it disgusted me, but the fact that it wasn't something I considdered outside of the norm makes it even worse. I am seriously debating requesting a transfer to another building.
As many of you know, I am an achievement whore. I’ve been closing in on the 120k mark on my gamer score (just 95pts away at this point). The game that I chose to put me over the 120k line is Saints Row the Third. My wife and I have really been enjoying it, so we decided to order the first 2 games in the series since we never played them. As I looked over the achievements for the first 2 I noticed a trend, the achievements were heavily focused on online play. Now as many of you also know, I’m not a fan of most multiplayer.
I have been taking stupid videos and pictures of our cats for years, But today I finally took the plunge and submitted one to IcanhazCheezburger.
