My Book Is Out!!

Hi guys I haven't been very active around here recently and there's a good reason.

I've been working illustrating a kids book written by a friend of mine for a while and it's finally finished. We went the self-publishing route which involved fund raising and pretty much doing everything ourselves. Anyway, the hard work has paid off and the book is now available worldwide from here!

New book!

Hi guys.

As a lot of you will know I spend a lot of my free time drawing cartoons and illustrations.  I've been working on a kids book with a friend of mine for the last year and we're finally done!

We're now trying to crowdfund a physical print run of the book which is for small kids (0-5). Think Winnie the Pooh meets Harry Potter.  We're really proud of it and excited to get it out there!

Book Review

Why are video games and gamers are alike?  They both get better with age of course.

For most of us here on 2old2play we started playing games during the late 70’s and early 80’s.  This was an era when gameplay really did trump fancy graphics and music. Without your imagination it’s hard to get excited about your knight/spaceman/hero when in reality they’re represented by a pixelated block.  Much like reading a good book, our imaginations filled in the gaps.

Bone Impressions

Ok here are some early xbox one impressions.

Set up is simple. I plugged everything in and it worked first time. I downloaded the update and queued FIFA, BF4, Killer Instinct and Skype. By the time the kids were in bed everything was done.

Kinect seems to work well. Xbox works without the Kinect plugged in. Voice recognition is quite reliable. I sit about 4 feet away from the TV and it has no problem recognising my face for log in and the QR code reading was impeccable (and useful).
