I want to be the leader of an Assassin's Guild...

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is one of the best games ever created in the history of the universe and it is a shame more people on 2o2p don't play it.  At least it doesn't seem like many people play it.  It should be up there with all the must-buy games.  I think it might even be my game of the year, which is saying something considering how much I loved Reach and Red Dead Redemption.

Brotherhood even links with this cool Facebook game called Project Legacy that is kind of like Mafia Wars.  I recruit assassin's in the xbox game and can send them on missions to level them there, but I can also assign xp to them every 4 hours through the facebook game.  And I can also level them with missions through the facebook game.  I'm building an badass guild of assassin's that will come and help me in the xbox game with a press of a button.  There's other stuff I can unlock in both games by playing them too.

There is so much to do in Brotherhood it is mind-blowing. And I haven't even tried the multiplayer yet, I've been too addicted to the single player.

The combat is infinitely improved over AC2, but even in AC2 I thought it was fun.

I'm probably going to write a more thorough review once I try the multiplayer, but seriously, everyone should play this game.  At the very least, if you can find a cheap copy of AC2, buy it, fall in love with it, beat the crap out of it, and then move straight into Brotherhood.  You won't regret it.

It would help to play AC1 before AC2 to know the story a little better, but AC1 is repetitive as hell and kind of a slog to get through.  I thought it was kinda fun, but compared to AC2 and Brotherhood, AC1 is pong.  Maybe just read an AC1 wiki entry or watch some youtube vids to catch up on the story.  But then play AC2.  And then Brotherhood.  You will thank me.

I'm a big fan of the Assassin's Creed universe as well. The one thing that I miss from AC2 are the glyph's, I know they have the clusters in Brotherhood but too me it's just not the same without the conspiracy babbling going on in the background. But one thing that is aggravating me are the heavy armoured soldiers and the one's with spears. Not too sure if it's the fact I need to get more xp or further into the game, but they just kick my ass. But in regards to MP, I might give it a shot, I'm not into MP but it doe's have me interested.

I played 1 and 2 but 3 didn't really interest me. Haven't bought it. My feeling was that the 1 year turnaround time they were mostly focusing on multiplayer which wasn't something I really wanted in assassins creed. I hate when great single player games end up wtih a multiplayer game bolted on that sucks but because of the time it took to do the sucky multiplayer, the single player also suffered. At least from whatyour saying, the single player sounds like it's solid.

The single player is definitely awesome. I think it is twice as good as the AC2 single player. The missions seem to be a little more varied, or at least there are more ways to accomplish each task/kill. And there is a lot more to do than in AC2. Yeah, it's a continuation of the AC2 story, but it is a full new story. Not something just tacked on. The 'Brotherhood' part of the game title really refers to the building of your assassin's guild in the single-played mode if you ask me. If anything, the multiplayer is tacked on to the single-player since it only has 4 different modes. They really shouldn't have marketed it so much as a multiplayer game IMHO. But I tried the multiplayer tonight and it is AWESOME and addictive as hell. It's like nothing I've ever played before. It's so gratifying to sneak up and murder the timmies just running around like fools.

Actually, the multiplayer is pretty solid as well. I'm playing on the PS3 and enjoying the everliving shit out of the game. Can't count how many hours in, but still not even half way through the game. I just enjoy going around, doing side missions, restoring storefronts, etc.

Yeah, I love the multiplayer, but to me, it isn't really the core of the game, and it seems like all the marketing was directed towards that. I understand why Tank feels like it is a multiplayer game with SP content tacked on. Ubi really screwed up the marketing on that one.

I picked it up the day it came out along with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, but I have been trying to close out the achievements on Black Ops. Just 5 more to go, and then I should be ready to get into this one.
