CoD4, W@W, and so on...

Lately, I've been playing more CoD4 on Xbox Live, trying to get tuned up for the MW2 release. After playing mostly World at War HC TDM for the past year or so, I'm kinda wistful for players who actually use their mics, who don't teamkill, and who actually co-operate. Although built on the same engine, CoD4 and W@W are dramatically different games. The maps drive slightly different gameplay. On W@W, it's easier to control large sections of the maps; there are fewer avenues of approach for enemies on the Treyarch maps. The IW maps make it much more difficult to mount a static defence. There are more points of entry, and it's a greater challenge to cover them all without being within the kill radius of a grenade or RPG.

Also, whatever complaints players might have about the W@W spawning, the CoD4 spawning is just insufferable. Once you get fragged, it's not unusual to spawn in front of enemy firing squads a couple of times. A couple of times, I've had an enemy spawn behind me, inside a room with all entrances covered by claymores. It's difficult to escape the feeling that the spawning is actively helping the enemy team. The CoD4 maps don't help. Creek, for example, is a fantastically unbalanced map. If you initially spawn on the SAS side, expect to have your headgear ventilated by snipers multiple times as you attempt to reach the enemy in their nicely placed, well concealed positions in the houses on the other side of the gulley. Try and go up and over and -- Snipe!  Try to go low and slow through the creek and -- Snipe! Try and go through the cave and -- Bloop! you're grenade launcher meat.

I'm excited about MW2's impending release. But I'm nervous, too, that, with all the bells and whistles we've seen previewed, IW might have forgotten to fix some of the fundamental flaws in the multi-player experience.

Democracy is reflected in many ways. If people in a political voice, the Shanghai escort choice of politicians, decision-making power in economic, cultural rights on the freedom of choice. The main thing Shanghai escorts is the political right to vote, supervise and dismiss the shanghai escort people should be the state-run entity, it is difficult to shanghai escorts imagine that there is no democracy, how can often Shanghai escort correct opinion formation and implementation, Shanghai escorts how quickly the wrong advice to correct people's masters decide how to achieve. Socialist democracy is by far the most advanced human society, the most complete Shanghai escort democracy, this democracy is not acting on their behalf with any person or group, and develop and promote the prosperity of socialist democracy is Shanghai escorts the political foundation of socialism.

Thanks for the comments and the tip about Porkchop Platoon. I think a lot of my concerns are worsened because I don't have a regular crew to play with. I'm not sure I'd be a good fit for you guys since I'm a camper. @Venom, the W@W spawns are more regulated; they get more randomized when players move out of their general spawn area. In W@W, when I played with a regular crew, we held down about half the map, defending the general area of our spawn with interlocking fields of fire and generally letting the enemy come to us.

I'll take the COD4 spawns over W@W spawns any day of the week. As to Creek, if you get the bad spawn, then stay put and make them come to you.

Joker, come check out Porkchop Platoon, we use our mics, try and play as a team and always have people on to hook up with and have fun. I think all of your concerns will be addressed with MW2, IW has put a ton of work into it and we should see the best COD game ever. @Venom, the W@W spawns are not perfect, but they did address the issue of spawn camping. Does that mean the enemy could spawn behind you, yes, but like real life shit happens and you need to be prepared my brother. COD4 has TOO much of the spawn killing, you get nailed down you are pretty much screwed. And yes, all maps allow you to sit and wait for the enemy...but that isn't much fun, we are after all talking about a video game, so camping for 10 minutes is just as frustrating as getting sniped every two seconds. 6 of 1, half dozen of another....
