A week ago Monday, I took my brother to the ER.  He was admitted.  By Thursday morning, things were looking really bad and I have been spending all my time at the hospital since.  I even had our dad and younger sister fly down from Washington state, just in case.  He got thru the weekend (Thank goodness).  His liver is failing or has failed basically.  This liver problem causes his abdomen to fill up with fluid and prevent him from eating not to mention being quite painful.  When I took him to the ER, they "tapped" him and got 5 liters (after having gotten 8 liters out on the previous Friday....in just 3 days).  This past Saturday they drained another 7 liters of fluid.  They were suppose to do it again today but somehow he got bumped to tomorrow.  Thank goodness for Morphine.

They are trying to get him in shape enough to perform a procedure where they put in a stent to a shunt from the portal vein thru the liver to one of the hepatic veins, essentially creating a tunnel thru the liver and cutting it out of the equation.  This should stop the fluid buildup allowing him to eat and get strong enough to be placed on the liver transplant list.

My nephew flew down with my younger sister and he wanted to play with my Xbox (black box) which is in our living room.  (of course I wasnt owning up to having a 360 due to the fragile nature of them).  I go to turn the Xbox on and get NOTHING!!!  Cripes, what now??  If you read my previous post, you saw I had an issue with my PS2 for a bit.  I tried switching power chords but even that didnt seem to be helping.  Finally after playing with the plug in enough, I finally got power.  But getting it to turn on was hit and miss all weekend.  Frustrating.  Especially since this Xbox was only purchased last September when my previous Xbox finally pissed me off enough.

So yesterday I got on the phone to customer support and got repair orders for BOTH of them.  Now have to package them up and ship them.  Have too many Xbox games to not get them repaired.  When they get back, Ill take one to our getaway place in Arizona (along with the 27" TV that I replaced in the back bedroom).

Im just wondering what the heck can go wrong next???
