Laziness pays off?

Ok, I started off with good intentions to make my title for my blog....

But I had barely got the first image laid in and cleaned up when I just felt tired. Maybe its the crappy weather, maybe its sitting up too late....maybe its a lack of caffeine. Or a combo deal...a supersized one. Anyway, I decided to be lazy and bailed but...I think it turned out alright. Good enough for me, is good enough for thee.

The worst part was picking a background...it was like moving in with someone and somehow combining your furniture with their furniture (cause I am stuck with the default elements, riiiight)  and moving said furniture around and around the room until I am comfortable. That said...it could all change....or.....it could remain the same forever. Thats just the kinda kookie chick I am. Over the years of designing simple webpages back before CSS came into full force I started an odd collection of repeating backgrounds. Odd in that they are a variety of colours, textures, images but all nice tidy squares. HOWEVER. Sometimes the problem with having the many, is choosing the one.

Oooo, there is a Spockism in there somewhere.

I must be tired.

Anyhow...I feel a bit better that at least I am not having to face the default title. That I do have some sort of personality.

Here was my curiousity for today. We hosted a training session at my work and they ordered in chinese food for the lunch which was cool as we got to eat the leftovers. This is a new chinese place and the conversation at the table was how this place was better than the old chinese food place it had replaced in the exact same location...which....had by all accounts been called Chick-a-poo. Now, I am not familiar with the chinese language and I could be totally out of line here but who the hell in North America names a restaurant Chick-a-POO. POO!!!!! You know...excrement, shit, dung, poopie, poop, poo-poo...poo. Fuck!

Is it just me or does it simply sound too much like Chicken poo to be appetizing and maybe this is why it FAILED? And how come I was the only one at the table who was trying hard not to let a hearty belly laugh escape? So this is the lesson....never stick dried lima beans up your nose because even if you are the cutest 3 year old on the face of earth - your mother will totally megaton freak - and never name a food restaurant anything that contains a bodily function of any description if you want it to succeed.

There you go.

Now, I am going to bed.

Chick-a-poo isn't so bad. Yeah I can see your point but, at least they didn't name it "Take A Dump On My Chest & Taters" or something like that. XD Or Tasty Taint Or How about a salad place called "Tossed Salad", sadly this one is real. Or The "Cum & Go".... I rest my case.

First, I think the banner turned out great. It's amazing to me how talented people turn out things that they think are just adequate and the rest of us think "Wow!" Nice work. The choice of the many outweigh the choice of the one (NOT). The nice thing about being a human. It's amazing how restaurants have a tendency to be strangely named, especially asian ones.
