Back from the Wilds

Well...I am back from being gnawed on by blackfly and mosquitos. Wow, it was a hot long weekend, not at all what I expected. I have two blackfly bites on each of my titties in almost the exact spot on each. At first it pissed me off, then it sort of amazed me and then it puzzled me...which if you know me - and you don't so...I question everything to death in my wee brain and have an exceptionally creative mind. So...I am thinking that the blackfly bites are proof that there very well might be truth to karma and reincarnation. Cause obviously this blackfly (or flies) was (were) male and retained the boobie fixation of all males from their former human selves...which perversion is likely what got them reincarnated as a lowly blackfly. Um...yeah. Thats sort of my deductive reasoning. Do you know how friggin hard it is not to scratch at your tits in public because they ITCH like crazy...oh....right....men have been scratching their itchy balls for...oh....centuries so I am not likely to get any sympathy here.....okeee....moving on..........

Seriously. It was great to get back to camping. The nights were cooler but we didn't need extra blankets. Great! We managed to bike part of the old railway line. But my favourite part was hiking the Beaver Pond Trail. Lots of fun and I gleaned more information than I will ever need about Beavers. Ahem...mind out of the gutter, gents, pleezzz. I am talking the biggest, friggin' rodent in Canada...not the softest, sweetest smelling and tasting vajayjay.

WTF? Did she say 'vajayjay'?

LOL Here is the backstory: my girlfriend is in her mid-forties and calls it a vajayjay and I say "Whats wrong with calling it a vagina?" and she's like "Well, its sounds crude" and I give her the stare and then say "Its the proper terminology" and she wrinkles her nose and says "Well, why don't we just call it a beaver or a twat?" and I shrug and murmur "I'm up with that" and now she gives me the stare and says..."Okay, well, anyhow the VAJAYJAY..." and thats how she is. Modern appearence on the outside, child who can't pronouce her biological ownership on the inside.

Back to camping. We saw two moose. Not bad. They were young and healthy. No sign of mange on their coats...perhaps this will be a good year for the moose. Every year a bad case of ticks and fleas leaves them suffering with mange and then if the winter is hard...they die...freeze from the cold and the bald patches on their hide.

We snooped around the old location of the Highland Inn. "Location" because they removed it back in the late 50's when they were returning the park to a nature preserve. While wandering around I thought it would be cool to investigate the area ala TAPS (paranormal investigators with their own TV show) in the dark to see if there is any residual ghosts wandering around. Course...if I encountered a ghost there is a slight chance I might squeak out a scream, pee my panties, abandon the hubby to whatever evil was lurking and run to the truck locking the doors behind me. Cause I am an indepent minded female, of course.

In the evening before we packed up I popped in Volume 1 of Samurai Champloo and started to love the anime series all over again. I think I will watch it all again over the next few days then brace myself for Cowboy Bebop and do a replay on it. I say "brace" because I actually cried at the end of Cowboy Bebop. Yeah thats right...tough little gamer chick with the nasty FPS headshots and take-no-prisoners attitude cried wussie. So what? Wanna make fun...go ahead...like that would bother me.

I finished Bankok Haunts. It wasn't bad until the very end...something freaky happened and it sort of collasped the whole thing for me at that point. But...I am thinking of looking into if there is other books by this author I want to read. Because...it had some pretty interesting and funny parts too. I won't say what bothered me...just in case someone wants to pick it up and give it a read.

On the way home the CBC had a panel discussing Violence Against Women in the Asian Communities. All members of the panel were advocates against domestic abuse and violence in the Asian communities in the city of Toronto. It was fascinating and when some of the victims were talking about their cultural/language isolation it made me think of the Rural Outreach Committee I belonged to and how we had been talking about how our rural setting isolated women in situations of abuse and families in crisis.

I have saved the very best for last.....................................I got Red Dead Redemption.................the hubby picked it up for me as I'd had a recent upheaval at work and been a trooper about it. So....he rewarded me............sweeeet....so....that is why I gotta go.

Cause...I am a hopeless gamer chick and I gotta crack the case and drop the game.

I know, I know...if you have been following my blogs....that means the slut won.....but I am sooooo okay with that....

Okay...um....thanks everyone. @BasBleu - Since you're the one who arrived here and was awarded that # I am inclined to point my burn-the-witch-accusatory finger at you...but you never really know. @Claude505 - Geez, I hope not. They hardly match the other two and....they wouldn't be itchy would they...just hard and arousing? Uh...not that I tried it....though. @TKBoss - Well, what I meant was there wasn't anyone on the panel trying to advocate the cultural differences or western misinterpretion viewpoint to attempt some sort of explanation....which was refreshing but I should have been clearer .

You are insane. No, really, you are. And I like it! You are all over the place...camping here, vajayjay there, anime, ghost hunting, books, domestic abuse, gaming... BTW, I briefly looked at your blog this morning and got a screen shot showing I was the 666th view - I am certain this is some sign that you are indeed the devil. Or maybe I am. Either way, you rock.

Did you think that maybe those aren't black fly bites? Maybe your boobs decided that you needed two more nipples.

You're blog is hilarious and scattered!!! I thought you comment of "All members of the panel were advocates against domestic abuse and violence in the Asian communities" was interesting since they very rarely have people IN FAVOR of domestic abuse.
