Wassup party people!

Had a great weekend (and will probably get another 3 hours in tonight) playing SC2. Mostly doing the 1v1 ladder (played some 2v2 as well).

It started off rough yesterday where I think I finished with more losses than wins (although it was close to 50/50).

So far for today and yesterday I am now at 12 losses and 14 wins....not the 75% win rate I was striving for but I learned a lot in those 26 matches. I have a build and a transition game which is nice! Typically I've had a build up until the first 7 minutes or so and then I "wing it". Which is still somewhat necessary - you have to react to your opponent but I have a fairly nice transition into Dark Templar. If my oppent has detection and starts wrecking my DT's I just merge them into Archons.....Archons are beastly against a lot of units in the game. I've found they are amazing in PvP at nullifying Void Rays.

If you look at my last 13 games (last 50% of the games I've played) my record is actually 4 losses and 9 wins....and typically those have been my tougher games as I go up the ladder I started to see some silver players in the mix and higher ranked bronze players.

My losses so far in these 2 days have come to a couple of things.....almost never has it been cheese! which is nice! I lost once to a Terran building a barracks in my natural and just streaming marines into my base early in the game. Of course that sucked - and of course that guy started talking shit lol but whatever. I scouted his base and his SCV followed by probe back to my base but didn't follow it into my base.....that should have been my clue!

The 2 ways I've typically lost have been usually a result of me trying to bust through a terran walloff at there main. Really stupid of course for me to do that - I have to try and figure out a better way. 2nd way I have died to haveing too much gas or minerals - that is my macro starts to fail me and I'm not building a big enough army or the right composition. I actually died in a game I should have won because I had no detection and he had cloaked banshees running rampent wrecking all my stuff and I just could never get anything out to help me.

Still lots to work on....but I learned lots also. I'm going to research what protosses best method is for getting into the Terran main. It seems Terran on 1 base can keep up and even exceed what I can do on 2 bases? I know that can't really be true - but man Terran turtleing on 1 base is rough. Also Terran can be so trying tricky because they can just fly a CC off to a remote mineral patch and have an expansion up without me knowing it.

Good stuff anyway - had a lot of fun. Also been watching my buddy who was Terran but recently switched to Protoss and he has just been winning a lot as Toss and I'm glad for him. He's top 8 in his league now so he's been working hard.

I'm 16th in my league - so top 8 just around the corner.....hopefully tonight goes well and I can inch closer.
