Ok, yesterday I was putting up all of the groceries for my wife when I had reason to flashback to one of my original blog post. Since it is my favorite one and was posted before the blogs really got going I have decided to re-post it for your enjoyment.

Ok, yesterday I was putting up all of the groceries for my wife when I had reason to flashback to one of my original blog post. Since it is my favorite one and was posted before the blogs really got going I have decided to re-post it for your enjoyment.

You ever have one of those cool co-workers that you wish would just go from job to job with you? I have had several. When I started running a large company it was great because I could hire all of those guys to work for me (I even hired an old boss because I thought he was a good guy). However there are times when we must change jobs and those people do not get to come with us. Therefore you tend to lose touch but you wish you hadn't.

I have been struggling with something lately. People are not responding to my comments on people's blogs. I think responses should be required. When I type: "Nice write up!"

It would be nice to receive something like this:

"Why thank you Mr. Grim. I appreciate the sincerity that you bestowe on my writings."

or I write: "This is very good"

You: "Thank you so much for the descriptiveness that you have devoted to my time and effort."

One expression that confounds me, "Happy as a Lark". I mean, how do you know a Lark is happy? Did someone ask it how its day is going? Maybe its smile (if you can make one out) is painted on like a clown. How did we come up with this? And by the way, what is a Lark? Maybe it is a crack addict and if so, is that the type of happy we want to be associated with?

Good thing I am happy as a pig in mud. Now that is an expression I can understand. Who doesn't like mud?

This week I was in Tampa and got to hang out with Leighty. ;; We went to a cool place on the beach for dinner and then got into some H2 action at his place. ;; Just for the record, it was the first time I have played with a 360. ;; I then proceeded to turn Leightys house into the HOUSE of GRIM! ;; Thats right, beat Leighty in an Low Man match in his house on a console that I have never played (I am sure to be his number one target now). ;; This just got me more fired up for Chicago.

Ladies and Gentlemen,  Let me announce to you that my house is no longer on the market.  Due to my new job, my wife and I have decided to stay since we can afford it now.  We are so excited and overwhelmed at the same time.  You see, now I have to do all the stuff I did not want to do because I was selling the house.  Anybody want to come and help me stain a deck the size of a football field?

Thanks to everyone who has wished us luck throughout the last year.  2 years without a job and the bills are still paid.  How about that?

As many of you know, I finally started a new job. ;; I am a Senior Business Analyst for a Mergers and Acquisitions company. ;; I evaluate businesses to be bought by buyers that my company represents. ;; What this means is that I travel A LOT. ;; I drive from one appointment to the next. ;; My region is an 8 hour radius from where I live. ;; The great thing is that I only travel 3 days a week so I am home 4 and I making a good living (I hope there are tickets to Chicago still available in 2 weeks, when I get paid, WOOT!).

My daughter loves to draw. ;; She is 3 years old and her pictures are just now turning into indentifible objects. ;; Faces have 2 eyes a nose and a mouth. ;; Their bodies have extremely long legs and arms (like Minoot Bohl). ;; ;; She actually drew an octopus the other day that I knew what it was without having to ask. ;; Can you tell I am a proud father?
