you tube has gone HD, (a couple of weeks ago) and I'm working a new project and posted a trailer around the film (www.MenToBoys.com)  and I was impressed. So I'm farting around today and trying to go through my uploads for HD CODECS stuff, and I recalled the short I shot for 2O2P this summer, and BAM!, damn, it looks good, actually better than vimeo stuff...so call it a 2008 rewind (year in review), and hope you enjoy as much as I did, the second go around

So after a day or so of trying to workaround the whole mobile me service from apple, I came to the conclusion aroun 7:13 last night to breakdown and go with the service, and to my amazement everything is working smoothly, with the exception of the whole google contact sync. I figured I wasn't big on internet contacts at google for scheduling before, so I should stop being a baby about that one little short coming. I can not recommend strongly enough the amazing app that is Jott. This morning I got a call from the publicist notifying me that I have a HUGE national radio appearance this friday from 8:05 to 8:27...after hanging up, I call jott and the conversation goes like this:

what would you like to Jott? OUTLOOK CALENDAR

BEEP: record voice message with details and call in number

what day: FRIDAY

what time: 8:05

am or pm? PM

after about 10 minutes or so it's scheduled in my iphone, my google calendar, and when I got home this afternoon, BAM! in my outlook as well!

so I'm back in love with my iPHONE, just not so in love twith the $100/year I got to pay to mobile me (for now ~ I'm sure somebody will come up with a work around, and soon)

p.s. did I mention I can call jott and make a blog entry at wordpress? BAM!

SYNC MY CONTACTS!

So I spent my entire Sunday doing two things, watching my Redskins get smashed, and smashing my head on my computer desk working on this iPhone (over-the-air) sync thing.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Google Calendar sync semi-rocks…Outlook on my desktop synced with google calendar every 5 minutes is pretty cool

Jott Rocks! call into the toll free number, and make appointments automatically put into google calendar or Outlook on desktop

So what has had me stuck for the past 8.2 hours, finding a utility to sync my Outlook Desktop and Google Contacts (like Google Calnedar sync)

tried gsyncit (FAIL)

tried ogg-something or other - FAIL

help! somebody out there has got to have an insight to this one…would make my life that more complete!

So I finally Broke down

and succumbed to the peer pressure and got an iPHONE. And holy jeez this is the coolest toy since my first XBOX and Halo LAN Party!...I downloaded this Jott thingy, and OMFG the most amazing toy like ever! I call the number, say outlook calendar, give a decription date and time and BAM! in my outlook (which sync with my Google) which means hands free appointments while I'm traveling...damn I missed the memo on technology updates! I am truly in a star trek (original version) tricorder kinda of deal, blowing all of those away who impressed me with Shazaam. One up man ship at its best. If anybody has any cool (non-hacked) recommendations please advise...like a cut copy and paste or a sort and search my 671 emails by name (like windows mobile 6)
