dare dare dare...just for you Char
One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.
He asked one man, "Why are you eating grass?"
"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass."
"Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you," the Lawyer said.
"But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree."
"Bring them along," the lawyer replied.
Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You come with us also."
The second man, in a pitiful voice, then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and SIX children with me!"
"Bring them all, as well," the lawyer answered.
They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine was.
Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."
The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place. The grass is almost a foot high."

This is the part where I get to cheer
Last night at around 10pm, I finally broke the 50,000 Gamer score mark!!!!!
I overshot my 50k even by getting a bit carried away and in place of a 5 pt achievement, I got a 50. while I would love to get back to my 1000 per week goals, I don’t think that’s gonna’ happen I have about 16,000 points left to earn on the games we own, but with a 4 hr per night X-Files habit, I just don’t put in the hours needed for that kind of point run. But those points gives us 1000/1000 in Jericho, next, I want to wrap up the obtainable(for me at least) Civ Rev achievements, and try to put a bigger dent in Hitman, UT3, and Lost Odyssey.
Oddly enough, we have started seeing the effects of Fey even here in central PA, we filled the bird feeders yesterday morning and when we got home from work, there was still food in them!!! My theory is a long and drawn out one and I won’t annoy everyone with details. But it is an awesome theory involving an angry monkey, a hammer, 2lb of bacon (because I might get hungry) and most of the cast of Queen of the Damned….but with those tools revealed, I don't think I have to go into any detail, the theory is self-explanatory.
And now, to end on a joke….
A priest and a rabbi were sitting next to each other in an airplane.
After a while, the priest turned to the rabbi and asked, 'Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?'
The rabbi responded, 'Yes, that is still one of our laws.'
The priest then asked, 'Have you ever eaten pork?'
To which the rabbi replied, 'Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and tasted a ham sandwich.'
The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading.
A while later, the rabbi spoke up and asked the priest, 'Father, is it still a
requirement of your church that you remain celibate?'
The priest replied, 'Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith.'
The rabbi then asked him, 'Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?'
The priest replied, 'Yes, rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke with my
faith.'
The rabbi nodded understandingly and remained silent, thinking, for about five minutes.
Finally, the rabbi said, 'Beats the shit out of a ham sandwich, doesn't it?

I will only say this once....plus some other crap.
I’ve been in enough arbitrator positions to know when something sounds like a miscommunication, and part of me feels that this whole 2o4d thing may be just that. But honestly, I don’t know, I wasn’t there. Some times people must simply go their own ways, sometimes it’s the right decision, sometimes they realize it to be a mistake…either way this is the only blog(or part of one) I will post on this subject. To those who have chose to stay, I say thank you, to those who chose to leave, I say good luck, and to those who haven’t decided yet, I say don’t burn any bridges; nobody knows what may happen in the near future.
On another note, I waited and watched the count down on that 1019foxfm.net site…what a rip-off, they really just stuffed some Bungie like cryptic nonsense in to their website and a count down just so they could boost their numbers for their first live radio show. That was dirty, once I realized what it was I bailed, deleted it from my web favorites and would now like to recommend that this site be avoided like the plague, it was a low blow to gamers and an attempt to make a public spectacle out of our eagerness for a new Halo. Unless Bungie was using them as just a piece of the puzzle, a way point to the next clue. Anyway, only 125 points to my 50k goal, and while I hope to have that tonight I[‘m not sure if that will pan out. After all we are watching 4 episodes of the X-files every night. Leaving me with about 2 hours of game play. Tonight’s goal is to wrap up 2 of the final 3 achievements in Jericho. Then just find an easy 20 or 25 pointer to hit the even 50k.
Here is to another achievement milestone. The next goal is the coveted 100k….assuming I can hit this one before the world comes to an end…..now for the final topic….
I hate the PA Liquor Control Board. I found a case of our absolute favorite wine at a site online for an unbelievable price of $135 per case of 12….we pay $28 per bottle here In Pa. the seller is a place in New York. So I think JACKPOT!!!, I order 2 cases. Put through my order….then the trouble starts, a message about being from PA and that there is a service charge of $10 per bottle…ok, that;s still ok, it’s saving us about $50 for the order…then there’s $22 shipping…ok we’re still saving $6 on the total order, so what the heck….then there comes the tax implemented by the PA LCB since all alcohol sold to PA residents has to ship to a LCB store…where a 42% tax will be applied…..42%.....bringing the total to $819.92. F-that!!! seriously!!! I am starting to HATE PA. the state govt. feels they have to wipe our asses for us because then they can A. make sure that it is being performed in a regulated manner, and
B. Tax the hell out of us….
Ok, so we don’t have tax on food or clothing, but 42% on alcohol!!!! I bet Canada doesn’t have this problem….or even Michigan. Heck I know Arizona would laugh at the thought of that….but lets ask where that tax goes…does it go to schools?….no….does it go to fixing the roads?…..no….it goes to the LCB so they can run AA programs for the people who imbibe too much of what they sell! It’s the same way with our new (and very corrupt) Gaming board, the money made from the slot parlors was to go to the local schools, but instead it goes to the Commission Directors as bonuses, and the remainder towards advertising the casinos and providing Gambling rehab for the addicts….not really working for me. anyway…I’m pissed, and need something to calm my nerves…where’s my coffee?….

Not a LAN blog
Ok, it’s time for me to confess something, and no, it’s not my undying love for MJ(I may be the only one who hasn’t done that yet). No, it’s not even my undying love for Jeepy and Char…those will have to wait for another day (when my wife isn’t going to read my blog)…this is a confession about me…I am unpopular. Yes, there, I said it. I, in all my glory, I am unpopular in a staggering sense. My list of friends (or who I consider friends) is limited to 1 person I use to work with who sends me chain emails 1-2 times a week, and the people from this site. I can’t even consider anyone from my family a friend, and my Best Friend is (as it should be) my wife. How did I get to this point? Well, that’s a long story…maybe not too long, ok; it’s kind-of short. But it is who I am.
I’m a loner, I always was, I grew up 2 mountains away from the nearest gas station or convenience store, we had 1 neighbor, and their daughter and I were always fighting…and not in the cute kid fighting way. I was just a disturbed kid. My elementary class had 10 people in it….and I only got along with 2 of them, both of whom moved out of state. After that, I just couldn’t find anyone who was into the stuff that I was. The geeks didn’t like me because I liked to view videogames as something more than just the interactive version of a comic book. The jocks, gear-heads, and preps didn’t like me(despite my prepy attitude, kick-ass truck(before it rusted away) and being the captain of the wrestling team) because I had too much in common with the geeks, and it didn’t help that I’m a conservative who was in a very, very liberal school.
Then early in my college career I joined Ultima Online, and I disappeared into it. 18 hr a day, every day, I had friends there, people who I could talk with, people who accepted me…but as I met my to be wife, every thing changed, she helped me to break that habit, and get into a safer hobby of console gaming. And from there, we were all we needed for friends, now she still had her best friend from elementary school and that was great, bet we are always there for each other, and what else could anyone ask for?
Now I have had a few short term friends, like when I was involved in a dune buggy off-road group, those guys were ok, but a bit too crazy for me to consider as long term friends.
Well, there I am my main torturing feature (there are many others, but they will have to wait for another blog).
I don’t care if any one wants to hold any of this against me, and I’m not here for pity(I hate pity), I know I have been distant to a lot of people through my life, but until my wife, there was no one I felt I could call a true friend. The only reason I didn’t include anyone from this site is that, I haven’t had a chance to get to know that many of you beyond your blogs. I feel a lot of connections here, but it’s still a bit early for me to start playing favorites (but I’m getting close)
But really, I will try to post those pictures tonight; I just can’t seem to find the time.
And why haven’t you bought your buttons yet?
Now I go back to my large cup of Kenyan AA wet roast, freshly ground coffee….ahhhh that’s what makes life worth living.
