Ah well, the LAN is over 

Since I arrived, it's almost my only subject of conversation, well that & Rock Band because I fell in love with that game.  I arrived home at 2am and could not resist the temptation of opening the Rock Band box and play a few songs (I went to bed past 4am and was working at 7h30). So guys, if you need me in WoW, check on the XBox, there's a good chance that I'm playing RockBand.

It was my first LAN and certainly not my last one.  I really enjoyed it, too bad it doesn't last a week.  It was interresting to put some faces over the voices that we hear every week in ventrilo and meeting new people there.  Too all of you, if you come near Montreal, tell me and we'll arrage something.

OSLO, Norway (AP) -- Norway's Defense Ministry says Russia has informed it that it plans to cut all military ties with NATO.

Ministry spokeswoman Heidi Langvik-Hansen says the country's embassy received a telephone call from Russia's Defense Ministry on Wednesday, saying Moscow plans "to freeze all military cooperation with NATO and allied countries."

WOW.... Russia will probably be trying to take back all former soviet countries.  They already sank two Georgian ships.  My father told me that Ukraine has told Russia that they could no longer use the port at Odessa because they sunk the Georgian ships.  I wouldn't be surprised if Russia went after Ukraine next.

can someone please explain to me what the hell the ratings mean?  call me a newb or what you will but i've been searching all over the damn place for some kinda FAQ and have yet to find anything explaining the rating system.  is it based on the thumbs up or down?  and if so, why the hell would you give my first blog a thumbs down???  lmao!

am i trolling for bumpage?  maybe.....but seriously, i've goofed off half the morning on the company's time trying to get a banner and a background set for this here blog and even using irfanview i've only just been able to get an avatar to load successfully.  is there a trick?  a secret handshake?  a hidden easter egg on the page???  someone help a brudda out wouldja?

all that being said, on a more personal note to intro myself to y'all a bit more....for your listening pleasure:  http://www.last.fm/user/rumbagod.  it may sound silly but the right amount of jack daniels and decibel level (this goes to eleven) mixed with some vent speak can make for many an enjoyable game on MTGO.  it's not as fast-paced as halo or gow but you have to use your mind and strategize the deck you construct instead of relying on teammates and over-caffeine-stimulated reflexes ;)  that's not a knock on FPS fanboys, i used to play the hell out of some UT, worlds apart was my fave snipe level and deathmatch was da shiznit but it just got overrun with whiners and the release of ut2003 that it grew stale for me and so i moved on to move introspective games (doom 3, the witcher, rome: total war and even got into a litle bit of guild wars since it was a free subscription).  maybe it was cuz i didn't have a clan in ut or knew cool peeps while playing but either way, MTGO is my choice for now so deal widit!  heh.

I finally got around to calling Xbox support. The rep I spoke to was very friendly and professional. The automated voice operator was very entertaining. After each choice I made he would say something like "Gotha" or "Alright" in a very strange tone of voice. If you can imaging a masculine, heterosexual version of Big Gay Al on South Park saying "Super!" I think you might be able to get an idea of what the automated operator sounded like. Anyway, the rep was very precise, obviously they have received a lot of training/experience on this issue. All she asked me to do was remove the hard drive and turn the 360 on to see if the lights still flashed. After that she took all my information. No problems with warranty! So 2-3 weeks after they receive my Box I should be getting a functional 360. Just in time for The Force Unleashed. I'm so mad I'm missing the release of the demo.

Now I've heard other peoples stories about getting the RROD and I may have just misunderstood, but I was under the impression that Microsoft sent you a box to ship your console back to them. Was I mistaken or has there been a change in policy?

On a different note, I found this wicked-looking spider on our porch yesterday. I'm guessing it was about 3 inches long. I went back this morning to see where if it was still there, but like the guy you took home after having one too many drinks at the bar, it was gone with no sign that it was ever there.

i liked the version Above, i enjoyed building colonies and attacking others it was fun, it seems though they went away from this style and went more towards individual player stuff. is there a version of the new warcraft were i can play like the picture above and build colonies and stuff or is the new one just about your own player/toon thing.
