I'm feeling a little more cogent today.

Thanks to everyone for their offers of help yesterday. The 2o2p community is much more helpful (not to mention faster and more polite) than the last lot of official customer service reps I've talked to.

Unfortunately, the DRM transfer tool wouldn't solve the underlying problem. I'm trying to use the my LIVE Arcade game through the "roaming" license while logged into LIVE from a friend's console. I don't want to transfer my licenses to his console because I'd planned to buy a replacement 360 for myself in a few months, and the DRM transfer can only be used once every 12 months. At this point, though, I may just decide to try the DRM transfer anyway and plan on not buying a replacement console .

I'm not confident that a DRM transfer would work, anyway. I'm able to use all my other Arcade games on my friend's console, but the license is screwed up on just this one title (Shotest Shogi.) I don't know that transferring a broken license would fix it.

One supervisor said that my type if problem is a known issue with Sonic the Hedgehog that they've never been able to explain. Others have blamed the developers and told me to contact them. When I contacted them via e-mail, the developers both confirmed that they are powerless to do anything on LIVE, Marketplace, or licensing. The developers both replied to me within an hour, and they're both very small companies located in the U.K. Microsoft said it would call me back yesterday and, big surprise, they didn't call me back. For those of you just joining us, they said over two weeks ago that they'd contact me within 3 days with a solution.
