the last version of wow i played was

i liked the version Above, i enjoyed building colonies and attacking others it was fun, it seems though they went away from this style and went more towards individual player stuff. is there a version of the new warcraft were i can play like the picture above and build colonies and stuff or is the new one just about your own player/toon thing.

Starcraft might be considered the best RTS ever made. I think it is a tad too complicated. Brood War definately made it cross the line.

Stay away from WoW.

If you want to try some RTSes grab the Company of Heroes demo. Command & Conquers are decent, they were never my type of RTS. Lots of people playing Supreme Commander nowadays. The next Warhammer looks to be good.

Give Universe at War a try. It's a little more simple FPS. It's solid but not all that unique. I don't think it has keyboard shortcuts on the PC. It has cross platform play between the PC and 360.
