Netflix Coming to Xbox LIVE!

Exciting news for all NetFlix subscribers out there as Microsoft has just announced that NetFlix will be teaming up with MS to allow users to instantly watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix.

The news comes from an announcement at this years E3 and creates a major advantage for Netflix users and Xbox owners alike.

Los Angeles—An exciting new home theater experience is coming to living rooms this holiday season. At E3, Microsoft and Netflix, the world's largest online movie rental service, today unveiled an exclusive partnership to offer the ability to instantly stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix to your television via Xbox 360®.

Xbox 360 will be the only game system that lets you instantly watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix. This movie-watching innovation will be available to Xbox LIVE® Gold members who are also Netflix subscribers, and will let those users enjoy streaming movies from Netflix on Xbox LIVE at no additional cost.

my question is what is the quality going to be like? I know sometimes the buffering times on the Inside XBOX videos are terrible.

Is MS going to ease up a bit on the hardrive pricing???? I have a 20gig xbox 360 and dont plan on buying a new one just to get the extra space. If they dont lower the overpriced 120 gig then what's the point in all this focus on downloaded content?

Well, hopefully, we will have the option to download them and watch them later, instead of streaming everything. Nothing's more irritating than getting the buffering progress bar in the middle of a movie.

It should be noted though that if you have Vista and an Xbox360, you can already stream Netflix to your 360 without needing a Gold account. There's a little piece of hacker code out there that'll get the job done for you. Netflix has been streaming movies to PC for about a year.
