Head of MGS Talks Halo 3 Beta

MTV sits down with head Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft Game Studios, to talk about Halo 3 beta and much more.

In the interview we learn more about what the Beta will be utilized for, and how it effects the overall completion of Halo 3. Phil also discusses more about the upcoming movie as well as the plans for the highly anticipated RTS "Halo Wars" and how it's productions came about.

Great interview.

I think this beta is an AMAZING way for M$ and Bungie to get a quality finished product.

Look at Gears, R6:V or any other game that has recently come out & you'll see flaw after glitch after fuck-up due to money & time constraints to get the game on the shelf.

Now to do this beta, M$ is obviously going to see the problems that will arise and hopefully attempt to repair them & give the consumer the best product for his/her money.

lets hope this time they fix all the issues, so we dont see stuff like flags getting pulled thru walls, and modders, ruining the experiance for others, i hope bungie takes full advantage of this beta

I am like you, as I really hope they take full advantage of this beta. I went out and bought H2 the second it was on selves and fell like I was a beta tester for H2, becaue they took 2 monthes to fix some of the orginal problems, mainly lag glitch and another 2 monthes to fix the flag grabs and three hour assualt game type. Having said that, they did fix/work around those issues and I am glad they did. I think Halo 2 Multiplayer should be the standard for ranked games, as it is the most fair and competitive exprenence on the market. I think they need to add a non-ranked/custom game type with the lobby like Ghost Recon, only to make it easier to get into custom games if you are like me and have no friends. boo hoo :(
