Gears of War 2 Lancer Bundle official

The on again off again replica Lancer / Gears of War 2 bundle is now officially on.

The controversy started at Comic Con where Cliff indicated that the Neca 1:1 Lancer replica would come with Gears of War 2 Limited Edition as a bundle for $130.

Later Cliff corrected himself saying a bundle of the game plus Lancer for $130 would be ‘crazy’ and the Lancer is an unbelievable value at $130 on it’s own. This was also echoed by Randy Falk, head of Neca who said Cliff was just over excited about the great Gears items coming out of Neca this fall.

Last night however, I was cruising Amazon.com and came across the bundle that is suppose to not exist ! The pricing isn’t exactly the same but you get the Neca 1:1 scale Lancer plus Gears of War 2 Standard Edition for $139.99 . If you wanted the extras of the Limited Edition SKU which includes some in-game content, bonus behind the scenes DVD and a picture of Dom’s wife, just add $10.

Of course being from Amazon.com, shipping is free and no taxes unless you live in Washington. The down side though is the wait, like all mail-order stuff you’ll need to wait for it to arrive unless you want to pay a lot of money for overnight shipping. 3 day shipping isn’t bad, about 9 bucks.

Hopefully this will be a limited edition replica and have the potential to increase in value over time unlike the Halo 3 helmet which is worthless due to such high manufacturing numbers.
