i just saw Haley's Comet...

sometime goodbye is a second chance...

forgive me as i am quite intoxiated at the time of this writing.

i just finished my final day of a 14 year adventure working for my parents. this is truly a rough day. lot's of support from my family and friends. my daughter is not an affectionate person, but gave me the best hug ever.

i'm gonna go shoot some people in the face. thank god there is halo for this and i don't need a real gun.

i'll write something better later...

A change of scenery

I'm starting a new job in two weeks. I'm leaving my parents company to work for one their competitors doing what i do now. This is a giant leap.

My mother asked me to give them a chance to fix it. She was crying. I had to tell her the last chance they had was thier last chance. I had to explain to her that if we ever wanted a chance at a relationship, I had to do this. What had happened here had a serious impact on our personal lives. If there was any chance at fixing what was really important to me, this was it.

My dad is following his protocol as usual and has not so much as acknowleged that the conversation ever took place. I feel bad because after all the conversations and arguments we've had, he'll still be surpised when I don't show up for work on Feb. 1st.

It seems like everything is turned upside down right now. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing or not, but I haven't once gotten the urge to stop what I'm doing.

This is fucked up...I just hope I'm not the one who's fucked up.

O.K. Last Blog of 2009

I wasn't planning on posting anything more for this year, but just had to throw this out there.

My family and I went to help raise money for Childrens Hospital tonight. We worked the hot food stand. I was the cook, my wife ran the register, my son did the hot chocolate and my daughter did cheese fries.

All of the other vounteers could come to the kitchen and get free hot dogs/ hamburgers and drinks. One elderly lady came in and i served her a hot dog and iced tea. she stood in the back of the kitchen to have her meal. As i'm flipin' burgers, i noticed she was bent over the sink, and i thought she was getting sick. In just a few seconds, she was beat red and started waving her arm at me. She had taken one bite of the hot dog i gave her and began to choke on it. She was very paniced and could not breath at all. i stepped behind her, wrapped my arms around her, and performed the hymlich(sp????) manouver. After about seven or eight tries, the hot dog came up. WHEW!

Truly a scary moment for everyone. I guess i got the opportunity to do two good deeds today. I hope the new year starts as well as the old one ended.

Just wanted to wish everyone a merry christmas or whatever holiday your celbrating this season.

Christmas was great at our house this year. Everyone got nice gifts and had a GREAT time. I love injoying the good times with my family.
