What kind of message are you sending to your children? Do they seem themselves as burdens or blessings? How they answer this question will pretty much determine whether or not you can keep them on your team. To keep them on your team, you must let them know that you wanted them to be a part of the team to begin with. I heard a commencement speech the other day, it went like this....

Though your family is here for YOu, thogh the teachers and staff all here for you, this day may be all about you, and I congradulate you.

I would like to leave you with on thing..You are not the center of the univers, Right now you think you are, buit you are not.

Right now you think there is only today.Well, Today is attached to tomorrow and to yestaerday.

Why I share

Dear friend,
I know you are upset with me because I feel the need to share my Faith. You yelled at me that I could not force you to believe anything. You told me that I should just keep it to myself. You called me intolerant. I just want you to know that this is not true. I share what I believe to be The Truth, The Light, The Way with you for one simple reason, I love you. Look, I don’t get points, I don’t get paid, and I don’t get a cut. This is not for me.
Let me explain, I believe that God created this earth. I look around everyday and see such amazing things, I see the creation, I believe that their is a creator. I believe that He has given us some rules to follow. I believe he did this because He loves us. I am a father, and I give my kids rules, because they need them. If they don’t follow them they are punished in one way or another. It is because I love them and want what’s best for them that I give them these rules.
You said if God was real, and He was all loving, why would He create hell and why would He send sinners there. I believe that there is bad because it has to be in order for their to be good. If their is no Bad, then their is no Good. I believe deep down we all know this, our conscious screams at us. I believe that we all are sinners. Every one of us. I believe none are good, no not one. We all tell lies, no matter how small, we know it is wrong. That is why we are lying in the first place, to hide something. It is wrong. I believe we all have stolen. I believe we all dishonor our parents at some point in time. I believe that we all lust after people and things we don’t have. We all have hated and murdered in our hearts. Ok, so I know these are very high standards. That you said, I am a good person, I do good things. But, I know that God sees what’s in our hearts, our thought life. Could you imagine if your thought life was played on a screen for the world to see, what would they say, what would they think, and what would your Mom think??
Ok, so I believe that we all sin. Why does God have to send me to Hell? Well, He is Just. He is what creates our standard of good. He is Just, He is Justice. He is a good judge and when we stand before Him, He must do it. It is what we deserve, all of us, everyone.
I also know that God did something amazing, He came to us. He came and lived a perfect life, He came and was beaten, broken, destroyed....PUNISHED. He took this so that we don’t have to. It is pretty simple, God loved us so much that he gave us justice, right and wrong, he then gave us a way that Justice could be satisfied, His son was punished, He was punished and we could then be seen as clean, our fine paid, and when we die, we can go to heaven.
The most amazing part is to receive this all I have to do is, Repent. I admit that I have done these things, we turn to Him and say I am sorry and we say I will do my very best not to do it anymore. We Trust, we tell Him that I know I am not good enough to do this, that I believe that is because Jesus died, I am alive.
I don’t have to give money. I don’t have to go do good deeds. I don’t have to say 10 hail maries. I don’t have to eat a certain food. I don’t have to be perfect, because I can’t. Now, on a side note, I believe we should do many of these things, but we do not have to.
OK, so the quick of it. I believe that we all die. I believe their is an after life. I believe that we all deserve to be punished. I believe that we have a way, and it is through Jesus Christ.
So, what kind of a friend would I be if I did not share this with you? How can I look you in the eye and say I care about you and not say anything. Bro, you are headed towards a cliff, I think I know how to save you...and I don’t? What kind of a friend am I? Penn from Penn and Teller, a very loud and outspoken Atheist, said that a true Christian, if he does love you, Must share this. He gets it. He doesn’t believe it, but he does understand why I try to share this any chance I get. I do love you and I want you to live.
If you don't believe, OK. I just ask that you think about it is all. You don’t have to, I can’t make you. I am not mad at you and I sure don’t hate you.
I respect you if you say I am wrong. I respect the Muslim, the Mormon, the Jew, and the Atheist that says I am wrong. That is OK. If they truly believe what they say they do, then they SHOULD tell me I am wrong. How can we all be right? I don’t think we can.
If I am wrong, than we have nothing to worry about. I will live my life trying to be as Christ like as possible. I will try very hard to Love, I will try so hard to care for, and I will try hard to save lives. I will die and nothing, or I will die and come back as a bug, or I will die and have another chance.
But if I am right? If the Bible is true? I just ask because If?
I pray this makes sense. I pray that these words will reach you and you will understand that I am truly trying to help you.
