Damn nostalgia made me buy this after a few tries of the demo.

Yes its an 8-bit game, yes its old school, you don't even have the charge buster or the sliding ability anymore. jump and shoot, that's it! You only use 4 buttons: jump, shoot, pause and weapons menu. You would think that the shoulder buttons or the trigger buttons would serve as a way to cycle through your collected weapons but you would be wrong.

You press the back button to access the weapons menu, I keep going for the start button which pauses/pause menu. X and B fires while A makes you jump. You start armed only with you default buster cannon and "R. Coil" for high jumps using Rush.

During gameplay you come across screws big and small which you can use to buy stuff Roll is selling you (wow what brotherly love). among these we find energy tanks, 'hairstyles' (use mega man without his helmet), add-ons to manage weapon energy, and other one-time use items.

The story begins with Dr. Willy repenting for his actions in the past, some time later, guess what? Robots running amok, again. There's a twist though, they're not Willy's. They belong to Dr. Light. A video or Dr. Light asking Dr. Willy to join him in his quest for world domination is displayed on the news, Willy rejects him. Mega Man decides to go do something about the robots while the others figure out what is going on.

After you kill a robot boss (not sure if its every time) there's dialogue that drives the story further. A funny thing I noticed is that when you arrive at a robot boss's gate you see "Dr. L." instead of the traditional "Dr. W." logo.

The game is difficult!! I think that the levels themselves are harder than the actual bosses. You just need to run through them many times until you memorize what it is you need to do like before. The pay off is shouting in excitement when you kill the damn robot boss at the end for making you go through all that to find him.

There's achievements and challenges like going through a level without being hurt, do a level without your helmet, etc.

Hello folks. Its been a rainy weekend today has been the rainiest. Its been going on all day long, they let us out of the office at 2:30pm est. because of all the flood warnings.

I'm still getting a lot of lag and disconnections playing COD4 I don't know if its just that game/server, XBL or what. All I've been playing lately is Castle Crashers and COD4 lately.

I finally found a gamefly.com type of services that ships to PR: Games n' Flix . I'm on their "1 game out at a time" trial period. I read in a forum that since they have a distribution center in Florida games tend to take 2 or 3 days to get here and I just saw a confirmation that the game supposedly shipped. Lets hope for the best 'cause this save me the hassle of conventional renting.

So many games, so little time!

For months I've been searching for a site that lists all the release dates of video games and today I found it: http://www.vgreleases.com/

I started going through the listings by month and registered to the site so i could use the calendar and tracking features. Right now I got over 10 games set up for the next 3 months. and most of them are in November.

Rock Band 2 and Brothers in Arms: HH are due in September, anyone gonna be playing these?. Far Cry2 is in October, anyone planning on getting this?

Recently I've been playing a lot of Castle Crashers. Its great fun and has its funny moments. I like its light rpg elements mixed in there. Co-oping it is a blast! Balek and I were on the other day laughing out loud on those forest levels.

Fun at the office

So this week a lady friend at work asks me to check out her jump drive which is giving an error and asks me if i can recover the files in it before the inevitable formatting. Well the files couldn't retrieved, the good news is she has 2GBs free now, jaja! I sent her this video to cheer her up:

"I hope that explains the situation" I text her over Facebook. Without the benefit of the fruit basket of coarse.
