I Survived Valentine's Day, and other Rants

Well, looks like I managed to kepp the G/F happy for another valentine's day. Drive to the mall, do the 15 minute man shopping spree, find a couple of pairs of earrings and I'm golden. For me, I get home from work to find dinner on the table and her in next to nothing. A most cool way to end the day. Now the weekend is upon us, and all I have to do is finish the flooring in the last bedroom. That should leave Sunday for me to do whatever I want! Maybe I'll actually get to fire up the 360 for a little while. Best Buy and M$ finally came through with the Forza/Marvel games, so maybe I'll give them a workout. Maybe a trip to Newport Beach for a little surf fishing. Hmmmmmmmmm........ haven't done that in a while. The weather should be good. Gas prices might keep me home, though. Jeeeez I'm tired of $3 a gallon gas. Especially bad when the Jeep only gets 11 miles to the gallon. Maybe should think about an econo car.........................NOT!!

Welcome to 2008...or Do I have to work all the time?

Update on the game front.  Still nothing from Best Buy. I guess I'll be on the phone some more.  At least I've been able to keep busy by working my butt off.  Between putting down new floors at the house on the weekend, and staying late at work, how's a guy supposed to enjoy his new 360?  You would think that a builder would want to give a subcontractor a little time to look at the plans before they call screaming about how you should be ready to install the day after you get a set of plans.   Oh well. 

Still waiting for the holiday bundle games to show (way to plan ahead Microsoft).  Did however, buy Halo 3 the other day, so as soon as I'm comfortable with the controls, I'll jump into this online game thing.  Go ahead, kick my newby behind, I'm used to it.  Hope everyone is having a good start to the year.          Later

Finally!!!........Sort of.

Well, Best Buy Online customer service and UPS finally came through and got my 360 to me.  It was finally Christmas for me, so I open the box and look at my hard earned grey and green box.  Hmmmmmmmmm......... something seems to be missing...................... (dig, dig, dig.)................Hmmmmmmmmm, no games with the console.  Speed dial B.B. customer service.  Am told they have been having problems getting the games shipped with their orders and will have a member of their promotions department call me.   O.K.  That was Wednesday night.  No call Thursday.  No call today (Friday).  Guess I have to call them again and kick someone in the butt.  Anyone else have these kind of problems?  It seems that the more high tech I get, the more problems I have.  Oh well, at least the 360 is here!        Later all.
