Much Better.........

Cool.  Just got home and in my in box was an e-mail from Microsoft saying my 360 is fixed, warranteed, and on its way home.  4Wheel Parts called earlier and said my exhaust for the Jeep should be here on Friday, and it looks like work is picking up slightly so maybe no more cuts in hours.  Got to get out fishing on Sunday morning and it turned into a beautiful day at the beach.  Now I remember what the good part of living in SoCal is.  All in all, a much better start to this week.  Here's hoping the rest of the week is as good or better.

Happy Birthday to Me

Well, the 360 is in Microsoft's hands now.  Let's see how that turns out.  Maybe I'm a little too pessimistic, but I have never had good experences with electronic repairs.  Oh well, they've done millions of them so they should be pretty well practiced by now, huh?  Birthday was Thursday.  Pretty uneventful, after work came home, ate pizza, watched the Kings lose again, and had my traditional birthday cheesecake.  Now for my celebration, I'm going to cruise down to Newport Beach early in the morning and do a little surf fishing before the crowds show up with the warm weather we are having.  Will be kind of therapeutic to get back to something I love to do.  Later all.

CRAP!!!

Well, this certainly has started out as a sh!%%y week.  Saturday morning, my cell phone rings and it's my dad telling me that my Grandfather passed away late Friday night.  His funeral was today in St. Louis. (The fact that I'm home writing this means I missed it.)  At least my mother, sister and nephew were there.  Yesterday, my supervisor calls a meeting and says that we are running out of work for everyone so we will most likely be getting cut to three days a week. There goes any hope of paying off the Jeep early (or possibly even on time depending on how long this lasts).  Then after work yesterday, the only thing I have planned to do is spend some time with my new copy of Fable 2, and about 5 minutes into that....you guessed it-  BRICK.  RROD time for me.  Falcon motherboard my a$$.  So off to M/S goes my elite and now I'm extra broke AND bored.  Wonder what tomorrow will bring?  I already know what Thursday brings....... my 40th birthday.  Jeeez, am I 40 already?  Where the heck did all that time go?  I hope everyone else is having a better week than I am.

Still rolling along......

Well, here I am again.  What to post?   Hmmmmmmm.......  Not much out of the ordinary happening in my life.  I still have a job, so I guess that is something to be happy about.  Hopefully our new Prez can get the economy straightened out before more of us end up in the unemployment line.  Took the Jeep out to play in the snow a couple of weeks ago.  Was kind of fun watching the deer and other wildlife up in the mountains.  I guess I should be doing my taxes instead of writing this, but, ah, how I procrastinate.  Anyway, just thought I should check in and actually write something.

What Have I Gotten Into....

First off, wow, has it been this long since I've written anything?  Busy, busy, busy....   Anyway, The good news (at least I think it's good news).   My g/f's youngest daughter had her third rug rat last night.  That makes the total 3 daughters and 10,  YES 10!  grandchildren.  Are we really that old?  My 39th birthday was last week, and somehow I am involved with a woman who claims 10 grandchildren.  WTF?  Is she lying about her age?  Where did my life go?   I must admit, though, that getting to be grandpa without having to have been a dad is kind of cool.  Sort of.  I think I must have missed out on a lot though.  I wonder what kind of a dad I would have been?  Well, I guess I just never felt the need to have kids of my own, but still, sometimes, I wonder.  It's all good though.  Jeeez, listen to me getting all sappy.  The little ones like to call me grandpa, so I'll take it.  (10 though?  I repeat...... WTF?)  So looks like this weekend will be baby filled.  At least the floors in the house are finally finished.  Does anyone else need a long vacation?  Best wishes to all,  and happy gaming.
