Sup peeps?!? Just figured I'd take the time to thank you sumbucks for making a totally crappy day 1,000,000,000 times better thanks to an AWESOME clan night hosted by Sonic!! (hosted the room I was in)
The day before I'd made a call in to my doc. Been havin drop me to my knees heartburn and recently my stomach started to hurt kinda behind my belly button. Shit's been really buggin me. Doc's office finally calls back early am. Well he's out of the office so the nurse sends me over to Express Care(Med Assist, Minor Care....whatever you call it in your neck of the woods) They don't open till 1 so I grabs a bottle of Tums and head over to get new tires for the van...so far so good. Then the fun starts. I get to the doc right after 1 and wouldn't ya know....there's like 10 folk already ahead of me!! So I sit there....and sit there....and fuckin sit there...kids screamin....me hurtin, belchin and fartin.... for three friggin hours!! Now just a bit irritated to say the least. But....glad to finally see someone. After about 10 minutes of poking and proding the docs decide to send me to the ER because they don't have scan equipment....yada yada yada.....soooooooo.......I jumps in the van and head down to the emergency room. Told the receptionist that she should have received a call about me. Smart alec bitch says we hear that one all the time!!! Now I'm already pissed......took a deep breath and was just about to loose it when she says oh there you are....we got ya....then she turned into a nice person just like that!! Any who I gets all checked in. All the rooms are full so I get put in a waiting room where I procede to doze off and on for bout an hour. A nurse finally shows up and wants blood.........8 fucking tubes of blood!!!!GRRRRRRR......finally bout 30 minutes after that I gets in a bay.....I'll give the hospital this......they've totally rebuilt the ER.....totally state of the art. Bitch looks like some shit straight outta Star Trek!! My room had all kinda dodads and a flat screen tv!! Anyway....nurse finally comes in with two large cups of the juice ya drink before they scan ya. Tells me he's gonna start an IV to give me meds for nauesa and pain. So we're talkin and he goes to stick my left arm.....fucker can't get shit.....so he pokes and pokes till I finally yell why don't you try the other fuckin arm!!! So finally he gets the IV started. Gives me shit for nausea.....which makes me nauseaous then he says gonna give ya some morp[hin for the pain.......STOP!!!!! I didn't bring a driver. So keep the morphin....I'll be fine. After bout another hour gets in for the CAT scan. Actually went well cause they didn't find any thing major. I found out I have a thick colon....could be caused by an infection or could just be the way it is. I got pain meds, gas meds and infection meds and tto top it all off the doc did the dreaded prostate test!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.........Soooooo after about 8 hours I finally got to go home tired pissed still not feeling good and starving!!!
After eatting I get's on live for a lil clan night action with PCP and all my worries went south for a few!!!!!! Thank ya much!!!!
I had my first clan night last night and I have to say the experinece was a really enjoyable change of pace. First of all, I would like to thank the rest of the PCPers who were there for making it fun and not a "you suck!" fest. I still haven't hit level 70 yet, but even playing with 10th prestige players, I didn't get the impression I was just there to be meat for the grinder or a K/ D ratio booster fo some ten year old Stabby McStabberson.
The variations were really good. I usually don't play CTF or Sabotage but I figured, why not? I haven't played CTF since playing "the H game" on the original xbox. (I found out last night that this paticular game is for some reason, not mentioned in converstation; sort of like a certain family member.I once had ) Kudos to Sonic Monoxide who came up with the game settings and the different rules of engagement. It's easy to get into a rut and play the same maps the same way over and over with little variation but, when you have a weapon restriction, no HUD and only headshots count, it made the games at the least interesting and sometimes fun in a slightly psycotic way.
I just wanted to say Thanks to the fellas last night for allowing me to pick up some mad skills and have a great time. It was nice playing and not having to worry about all the drama of being a terrible player. Heck even a few times I actually kicked a little bit of ass. but the there were a few times where i toobed the sideds of a building. ALWAYS good for a laugh.. Anyhoo I just wanted to say thanks again. I look forward to more clan nightes in the future.

My Thoughts!
Everything I needed for the PS3 hookup was included. A USB A/B cord hooks up to the PS3 and the optical sound cord, though short, was fine. I have not checked voice with the PS3, but it sounds good.
My WiFi for the 360 is wonky and I think I discovered the reason. Whenever my wife's PC is off, the WiFi cuts out though we have two other PCs on the router. For whatever reason, it drops the signal. I figured that out last night, but didn't get a chance to test my theory with a friend in Borderlands on the 360 and felt sheepish in trying to chat with JCat since we've never spoken in person before. "Hey, uhh... You wanna talk with me...?" (Awkward pause)
Anyway, so far when it works, the sound is great directionally. The sound is crisp, the bass is a little understated. The headphones are a little heavy, but I wore them for around 2 1/2 hours last night and they didn't hurt my ears.
An expensive trinket to be sure, but a good solution, especially if you don't want to get two different headsets. All I have to do right now is change the optical source from one machine to the other.
I found 2old2play last year, but got caught up in life and never got involved. I am here now to correct that.
I am an Xbox 360 guy. I have PS3, but have never gotten into it, which is probably due to my gaming buds all being 360 types as well. Right now the PS3 is a blu-ray player and not much more, but I might be open to increasing its role in the future. I have a few friends who are waiting to see what I think of the environment here, I hope to get them involved soon.

I play a variety of games, but mostly shooters (as evidenced from the list above, I guess) and am looking forward to getting involved in the mix here.
Looking forward to the DLC for MW2 coming out at the end of the month. Two of my favorite CoD4 maps, Crash and Overgrown, are rumored to be recycled for MW2. I always enjoyed camping Granma's Attic on Overgrown and the two story garage on Crash, so it should be fun to try that on MW2.
I still haven't gotten back to the Bad Company 2 campaign. I'm off gaming generally lately, I guess. It just doesn't seem much fun lately to me. Short featured vid today showing a weird connection fail during a knife killcam. Also threw in the first part of an IGN series feature Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer tips. It's pretty basic stuff, but since it's hosted by the luscious Jessica Chobot, it goes down easy. (Goes down easy! *snicker*) On to the links and vids:

Yikes... it just kinda hit me. I'm pregnant... that means a baby is on the way. (yeah... I have a biology degree... what?) It's actually odd thinking of having a wee little one around the house again. We have some things to get (basinet, rocker chair or swing) perhaps clothes.... Not many if we have a girl, but lots if we have a boy. Actually... not THAT many, we bought Erica lots of boy clothes: boy pants fit better for active kids, and girl shirts are often over the top girly... not our thing. We have been talking names. We have a girl name picked out, but no boy names have grabbed us. Maybe I'll have a "name J-Cat's Baby" contest.
So... for now we are looking at a 4 bedroom house. And that means selling this one. Which means that we have to (gulp) clean up this one and get rid of the junk. Ottawa has a really hot housing market, so selling won't be a problem. Finding a house that is close the the school we want will be tougher. But not impossible. Or so I'm told.
On the gaming front: I am playing FFXIII. I have a first impressions written up. Now I used to be a JRPG total fangirl... but Is ee the same mistakes in character over and over. THis game is no exception. I like it, but I have lots of critisms. Or maybe things I want to see get better.
What else: Looking forward to the podcast with Caesar, LB and Doodi... or rather version 2 of the podcast with the guys. I miss podcasts. I love doing them and it's been way too long since I did one. You guys and gals have anything that you think we should talk about?
