Master Chiefmas

This is officially a Religious event for me. I have been hard at work praying at the altar of Halo 3 and I have deemed myself unworthy. Therefore, I must work ever harder in order to attain a higher divine rank. So I may pwn thy faces and notify you as to my most lethal existence in the virtual world.  The game itself is very well done and coordinated. The music is superb. Having married a musician I tend to notice that kind of thing. My wife is working hard at getting that good at composing and arranging music for games herself so she sees the music in Halo 3 as a standard to meet. In other words, she recognizes the pwnage that is Halo and has decided she must become better.

On to other news... Strangest thing happened this week, I got fed up with my guild mates on WoW. Prior to the expansion, we were all fairly tight knit and all gun ho about helping all members out fairly. Since BC, people have become trite, selfish, and, basically, the best example of just how low humanity can sink. Unlike my fellow luminaries in the guild, I do not blame the game for this. The game introduced a new play mechanic and raid mechanic but it did not lay out new rules for conduct with people. that is an entirely human wrought problem.

On to interesting news, babies...the wife and I are expecting one soon and I have already begun stocking up on gamer toddler clothing, because Since wife and I are both avid gamers, the child must follow our lead. yessss, we shall make it one of us! Our Preciousss. BEHOLD! THE POWER OF TODDLER!

Hiatus

Wow! So, some interpersonal crap aside, I was AFK for a HELL of a long time. I am back now. Been delving into Bioshock lately, the game is fun and all, but I like GRAW2 type shooters more. Something about the gritty realism of it that sets me up for big time 'gasms. Anyway, onto some other stuff. Been using my tablet for mostly touch up work on scanned pics that I have hand drawn. I also color with it, but now my scanner is broken so any hints as to a good scanner for some line art would be much appreciated.

So now I can't use any of my own line art, which sucks, so I will have to settle for other people's line art that I leech off the web. I have these three already that seem promising as far as prospects for coloring in. Something has been bugging the hell out of me lately, since I am mostly a PC gamer, I know I can screenshot a particularly awesome moment in a game easily on the puter, but the consoles seem to be lacking this functionality. anyone know of any apps out there or techniques used by others to do this? Like when I tea bag some git in a GRAW2 match? Just wondering... > Anyway, later all.

Doodle madness

I got my new wacom tablet yesterday! wewt! Now I can do finally draw directly into photoshop. These things aint cheap! Took me a while to save for it with having to pay off student loans, bills, rent, LIFE in general. Not to mention the fact that techs make CRAP when you work for the school district.. I really need a new job and I am hoping that now that I have a tablet I can make something of it. Something that will give me more time to game and relax and less tgime to be stressed. hahaha, right!

So i was fragged

You know normally I stay away from playing FPS games in multiplayer unless it is with friends because, well...because I am not that awesome at them. I concentrate too much on thinking it through and not enough on just twitching my way through. So I always wind up feeling somewhat like less of a gamer at them. BUT, a friend of mine told me to try shadow run. It is kind of like Sci-Fi meets Fantasy meets Counter strike. So I did today on my PC. I figured I could break in my new video card on it. MAN!! Is it fun! So far I like the Dwarf race and thier ability to steal magic. Kind of cool. Trolls rock too though.  That aside, I am still lucky if I can get in 2 kills per game. Hahah some things never change. Guess that is why I like the campaign modes and MMO type games. more time to think it through and less time to just react. I am bad at reacting.
