WTF?! This is Florida!

So I'm a Florida boy born and raised. I've never played in (if I want to ski, it'll be water skiing thank you very much) or even seen snow for real. Saturday it "snowed", I say "snowed" simply because I saw a few flakes. Fuck this cold bullshit! I'll take my humid, fresh out of the shower sweltering heat of August over cold everyday of the week. Bring on my spring temps in the 80's.

Stress and Decompress

My wife Amy had a lump in her boob. After what seems like an eternity, well it was about a month, we got the test results back. Seems it's just a lumpy fat buildup thing. What a load off my already aching back. She had a mammogram, mri and blood test done (in that order). She now gets to have testing done every year just to be on the safe side. I'm all for that, I like safe on things of this nature. We kind of prepped ourselfs for the worst possible news and now that it's "done" I have this feeling of, I don't know how to describe it, like it was all just a bad dream. The fear is sort of there but not. One of my best buds made it out of cancer years ago and I really wan't looking forward to going through that again on an even more personal level.

Maybe my liver can get a break now.

My boy is starting school....

So my boy started pre-k today, can't believe he's going to be 5 in January. Seems like yesterday he was screaming all night long and projectile puking on me. He was all pimped out with his Spider Man backpack and new school supplies. Go getm' kid.

Woot! Vacation!

It's the most wonderfull time of the year! So, I'm on vaction. It feels f'n fantatsic not to have work commitments, I play and then get caught up on some house projects I been meaning to do.
