Wifey and Wall-E

So, I've bought Wall-E to play with my kids since it's a 1-4 players and 1-2 co-op.  My oldest son is gonna love the puzzle aspect of this game.  I, on the other hand, am not so crazy about it.  I have a dislike for slow moving games that I must do ten different things to move fifty feet.  But, it's a little bit addictive and a good game so far.  My daughter got her "Follow the Cockroach" achievement and has spent the last ten minutes trying to figure out how to look around.  That's where Wifey comes in...she sat down to talk about taking our daughter to go and see the movie when I had a malfunction with my TV and had to restart everything to get the sound to work again...but, I digress.  So, Wifey grabs the controls and starts out...then begins asking how to do things and I begin to tell her, but she ignores me and goes off on her merry way anyhow...

So, here I am, sitting here typing this while she tries to figure out...uh oh, she is standing here now, reading this...

...ouch...she just hit me...and backspaced all over the place...

Well, I'm back and I've fixed up what she backspaced...more or less...and it's time to post it and get back to helping her with her project.  :-)

As a side note, I'm helping her with a project by doing some graphics work for her.  The $182.00 we paid for Paintshop CS3 Extended is about to become money well spent!

Cheers...

I am here...

I came in last place, but I got to race with the Turn 10 Dev team in Forza 2, thanks guys!  I'm looking forward to picking up my car...so, while I'm racing, I'm watching the lightning and waiting for power to drop...I gotta get going now before my PC bites the dust.

See that little white cross symbol?  I am there...

I must have seen at least a dozen strikes within a mile or two and the storm isn't even passed yet...gotta love Florida weather!

Well, it's about time...and too late!

For those of you who have known me through my XBOX trials and tribulations, you'll already know that I am one of the many gamers affected by the DRM issues with DLC and XBLA when replacing a bad console without Microsoft's help.  For those of you who don't, let's just say I was in to the tune of about $100.00.  That's more than some and less than others, but I digress.

The point is, XBOX just released their online tool to address the issue.  And, thankfully, it works!  However, it's too late.  I have already re-purchased the stuff and I now have both GT's on my console.  So, I have it all downloaded again.  The cool thing is, when I buy a second console for whatever reason, I'll be able to move the old GT to that console and download the stuff again...after the 12 months have expired.  Until then, I'll enjoy the content on my current box.

So, in all honesty, I'm glad the tool has arrived and I'm glad it works.  I almost feel like saying, "Yay Microsoft"...but not really.  But, I will say, thank you.

Finished Iron Man

Finally finished Iron Man on Formiddable difficulty.  I had 37 of the 39 achievements going into it since they could all be unlocked on the easiest difficulty.  But, Formiddable made up for it...  With the exception of the Mile High Club, I've never worked so hard for an achievement.  The toughest part is having to restart a mission from scratch each time you fail...there aren't any check points.

Lots of people blew this game off as being a piece of crap.  Well, I liked it.  I enjoyed playing it even when I was yelling about how much I hated it.  Patience is the best strategy on Formiddable, that's for sure.  I've played through the game twice, though I've played through each level more than twice to attain the different challenges in each mission.

Being an Iron Man fan, I give it two thumbs up.

I took my oldest mini me to see the movie tonight.  I enjoyed taking him to see it and he enjoyed going.  The movie was as awesome tonight as it was when I saw it a couple of weeks ago...I had to make sure it was ok for me to take my son to see it first!  I'm really looking forward to the next one.

And, thanks to all the men and women currently serving in the United States armed forces.  I appreciate your service.  A special thanks to all of the men and women who have given their lives in uniform, God rest all of you...you deserve it.
