I'm Back

Well I haven't blogged in a while, mostly because I moved to a new town and didn't know any gamers, so I haven't played any new games.  This weekend changed all that.  My wife and I went to the Atlanta Game Fest.  It was tons of fun and we met a bunch of folks, found out about a bunch of game meetups and played a bunch of games.  I got to try several games I hadn't played before including: Accquire (an older game that I, for some reason, had not played before this weekend), Moderne Zeiten, Zoff in Buffalo, Agricola, San Juan, Blue Moon City, Shadow Hunters, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Funny Friends, & Havana.

I also saw a lot of folks playing some games that caught my intrest.  I want to try out Through the Ages, Endevor, Goa, Dungeon Lords, & Vasco da Gama.  I'll be working on some reviews soon.  So keep your eyes open for more blog entries from me.

A few Things

1. I finally have internet (1000 Mbps!!)

2. I do not have the power chord for my TV so I will not be on X-Box Live until it comes in the mail (hopefully Saturday or Monday).

3. This is some of the craziest shit I have ever heard.

The Small Move

Dear everybody,

You probably won't see me on XBL or 2o2p for the next couple of days.  I am moving to Atlanta tomorrow morning.  Have a great weekend of gaming without me.

Next week Iwill be my first week on the new job.  I hope to review another board game, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to write.

What this Blog is About

I was thinking that since I took a long hiataus from blogging while I finished my masters, I should re-introduce myself to the 2o2p community.  I currently live in Athens, OH but I'll be moving to Atlanta, GA on Friday to start a new job at Georgia Tech.  It seems to me that 2old2play - being a community for older gamers - certianly has a number of members who enjoy all different types of games, not just video games.

The goal of my blog is to spend some time talking about table top games.  Anything from Munchkin to Power Grid; Pureto Rico to Dungeons & Dragons; Settlers of Catan to Tide of Iron is fair game.  I'm going to try to review a game or two each month, rant a little about the table top game industry, spark conversation, and I'll throw in a smattering of personal stuff and video gaming to boot.

That said:  Are there any table top games out there people are dying for me to review?  I've got a pretty good list of games I'd like to write reviews on, but I'll always need more.
