I am only old enough to have seen Mr. Carson and Mr. McMahon for a few years before they handed off their late night baton. I can say without a doubt Ed is one of the most memorable voices for me growing up. From this to TV shows and people impersonating him, he has been burned into my head.

Didn't mean my other comment to be some sort of dis. I was trying to make an otherwise dark day a little lighter. Hell I never even thought about him when I posted my own Farrah and Michael blog. He was also major figure from the same era.
One of the TV clips I saw memoralizing Ed McMahon was his own comment about enjoying playing second banana and knowing how to work the timing. Its almost scary, now, if you really think about it.
Anyway, thanks for the tribute. It's been a pretty bleak week.

XMixMasterX - I have a similar thought for him and when you really think about it the pervasiveness of his catch phrase and delivery you can see he really made an impression. As I stated I always saw him as warmhearted.

This blog is the one I consider my "oasis." With all the stuff happening in North Korea and Iran I share thoughts about elsewhere, but I try to keep my "lighter" toned stuff here, generally. These people all contributed to happy moments for me so it seemed more appropriate to post about them here.
