Why ? YOu and like 3 million other people. Everyone will look the same. I like things how they are where you can have lots of customization options and the chances of seeing another you are pretty slim. But they release a spartan armor costume and milliosn of people will be sporting that all looking the same.

I understand though, i'd love to have some COG armor myself.

The latest issue of Gamepro says something to the effect that if your character dies during the final battle, he's done. I guess there are a bunch of decisions that go into whether he'll live or die, so if he does die, you would need to restart a save from the middle of the game before those wheels were set in motion.
