An unfortunate turn of (events).

I'm not one to complain, but I feel that the 2old2play Gears 2 playdate was a bit of a bust. Not that there weren't enough people, more like to many. It seemed that there weren't enough hosts to cover the influx of participants. I'm sure doodi, waterborn and the rest were doing what they could. However it would seem that the playdate didn't pan out quite like it was planned. "http://www.2old2play.com/Blog/Waterborn"        As I understood it, there were going to be rooms for people waiting to be cycled in.  Which again I got no invite to.  Perhaps I was expecting to much.

For me it went like this. After about an hour of waiting in the game start menu and sending texts, I was given an invite into a game. Played with Waterborn and some others playing execution, played 2 rounds then had to leave for a few. *had to make a pit stop* then finished out the night on the start menu waiting for another invite. Which never came. So for me, it was a bit of a bust, and disappointing.

Perhaps it went better for others, and I am not downing 2o2p.com. Actually I love this site. I have never found more people to game with in my entire online history. This place is awesome. I will more than likely though stick with the pick up gears games with those on my friends list, and the MML games.

RE: Halo 3 4v4 Tourny

Played the tournament last night. All I have to say is WOW! I got my ass totally kicked, and was way out of my gaming league. But damn did I have a good time! I can't think of any other time I have died that many times, and gotten so few kills and actually enjoyed it. Everyone there was very helpful, teaching me call outs and helping me to better myself.

So thanks everyone that was there. Royal, your awesome! And I can't wait to join the next round, and the MML.

BTW The team I participated in took 2nd place :-)

Halo 3 4v4 Tournament

Signed up for the 4vs4 tourny tonight..  Gonna see how that goes.  Played H3 most of the day to hopefully get a bit warmed up.  Gonna see how I do.  This should be fun!  I'm actually looking forward to this.

Name is James, been a gamer since I knew what a game was. Started off with pong, and moved up from there. Growing up I was considered a gaming genius by my family, as nintendo couldn't make a game that I couldn't beat. Then I graduated up to the Sega Genesis, and some truly challenging games, which in time I also beat. I still remember pulling all nighters making maps of Doom(Or atleast I think it was Doom. Kinda hard to remember that far back), and Listing out all the moves/fatalities from Mortal Kombat.

Anyhow, here I am now, completely in love with xbox live and online gaming. I play a lot of the Halo series, and Gears 2. I got into L4D for a while, but I think that game requires friends to play with and not just random strangers found in matchmaking. So of course if any of y'all want to play send an invite, I'm on just about everynight after 5 cst. and on at random times on the weekends.

Fair warning, I come across as very competitive, which I am really not. I'm just overly critical of my own shortcomings in games. Especially if I make some stupid moves. So if I start swearing or getting frustrated at missing a headshot, or getting my own head shot, just beat me upside the head and tell me to STFU n00b.
