Attention Please!
Ghostbusters The Videogame KICKS ASS. Why are you still reading this? Go buy it NOW. Right now.
Seriously.
Guaranteed fun if you are at all a fan of Ghostbusters movie, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis or Ernie Hudson. Yes all of them are in it and it is fun and funny too!
That is all! This is taking away from my play time, dammit.

Another "Maxxie is Late to The Party" Game Discovery
Oblivion.
I'm in summer school. I'm working to try to save money for classes next year because my degree is in sight, finally. I'm trying to spend time with family, call friends and be somewhat more social than I have been in a while (though admittedly still not as social as I ought to be). Oh and I'm sleeping when I can.
First there was Bioshock which I am still enjoying. I LOVE art deco and the story line is fun. I dip on the Path every so often too but have decided this can wait a bit. Until my summer break.
And then Oblivion shows up in my home. All cheaply priced and precursor to Fallout promises of lovely fun( Ooooo new DLC for Fallout! Anyone? Anyone? Is it good or buggy?)
I have a 16 page paper due in two weeks, oodles of homework, a group presentation, a final, commitees and event planning at work along with other sorts of bureaucratic "fun."
All I really wanna do when not spending quality time with those I love is play Oblivion. Or Fallout. Or Bioshock. Or anything fun. *sighs*
Sometimes being a responsible behaving adult is so frustrating! I know was I just whining about this with the other things going on? Yes I was cause occasionally I need to just pout about it all and get over it. I know there are larger concerns these are just the ones I can ultimately do things about!
On the VERY upside of adulthood, my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary the other day. We both are pretty amazed how fast time flies!

RIP EMM
I can't believe I didn't pay respects to EMM and his wonderful warm laugh, distinctive voice. Emulated by so many he always came across as having a good heart, great sense of humor. I wasn't supposed to stay up late to watch "The Late Show," but occasionally I would sneak and try to understand what all the grown ups were laughing about...later I was better able to appreciate the gifts of both men featured here.

RIP MJ & FF
Say what you like about their choices and reasons. Question their ethics and morality if you choose.
MJ:
The man could sing. He could dance and I sang and danced along with many of his songs. Songs can reflect you, speak for you. Remind you of a time and make you feel better, or wallow in your pity party with you. MJ's music did all of this. ABC was a favorite 45 in my super-young youth. "Living Off The Wall" was a great album when one started to understand the teen connection to music. Thriller was like nothing I had ever seen in a music video. When he moonwalked years ago on that stage at the awards show I was one who witnessed and was electrified. Nothing like it had been seen on a national level and it was like magic happening for a moment. I remember that well. Kids at school for weeks trying to emulate.
I will choose to enjoy and remember this legacy of music for him because that is the best of him. His showmanship, music and lyrics that touched on common human conditions. He will always remain one of the most gifted entertainers to have shared his gift with others, in my eyes.
FF:
FF was always lovely and her eyes promised mischief with a smile to melt the ice in your heart. I remember watching "Charlie's Angels" too and she always was the "sex bomb," the guaranteed sexiness, hair-flipped femininity. Later both of us older, I saw her Emmy winning performance as a battered wife and thought "Wow, she can really act." She posed for Playboy later in her life and looked hot. She was on Letterman and seemed odd - but well-meaning. Her strength in sharing the struggle of her fight with cancer and how it affected and invaded her life was sad, heroic and a reminder. Nothing is promised so enjoy all you have and can. That illness is savage. She went down "a-swinging," my dad would say.
I'd say in doing so she retains all of her beauty inside and out. Her legacy trascends her beauty tremendous as that remains. For me she has achieved a measure of grace.
I feel for their kids and families. Loss like this just sucks.
Michael Jackson. Farrah Fawcett. Sad day.
