Disney is going to own Marvel!?!?!

While I don't think we are in for The Hulk Versus Donald Duck, I think this is a sad day for comic fans.  Disney would be foolish to try to reinvent what Marvel has done, but I worry much of the creativity will be replaced with movie plot think tanks that will make every Marvel movie feel like National Treasure-style crap.

What does everyone else think?

a TRULY TRULY sad day (sort of)

I have actually gotten rid of most of my games.  They were taking up too much time and causing me too much mental stress.  That  sounds funny when you talk about games giving you stress, but it was the case.

I would spend time looking to buy/sell/trade games and get good deals.  Then I would want to play the spoils of my victories.  I realized once again that every time I bring a game or a console into the house, my free time was being subtracted.  It wasn't like in college where I had all the free time in the world anymore!

So I have kept a handful of games...main one being the Halos as I love the game and the clan I play with (2old2playHalo FTW!!!).  I also kept Unreal Tournament 3 for a different kind of shooter and Tiger Woods 2010 on Wii because they finally nailed real motion golf with the Wii MotionPlus.

I'm on the fence about giving up my Fallout 3 since I love that game and have played everything except for the current new expansion (hoping for another increase in level cap...I'm capped now!)

It is a time saver because I don't go to stores looking for games anymore...and I'm not always chopping at the bit to play the new stack of games I have sitting on the shelf!

A Sad Day....

I'm going to get rid of all my rhyhm games.

I recently was blessed with being able to get a HDTV.  I had a 36" SDTV before that and had no lag what so ever.  Now, I cannot even play the game.  I have watched videos on how to calibrate it, but the problem is that, especially with Rock Band, if you calibrate guitar, it doesn't work with every instrument.  So my wife either has to deal with lag and not be able to play or I have to deal with it and it makes the game not enjoyable.

I found myself not really enjoying the games as much as I used to.  In fact, on another site, someone asked if anyone else had hit the GH/RB wall.  I realized that I really had hit that wall.  The best was playing with other live people...and now everyone else is bored with it and I have no one to really play with.

It's just sad because I truly loved this game for awhile, but now it just feels like going through the motions when I play it.

The Spirit is the most horrible movie I've ever seen

With the exception of looking at Eva Mendes, I couldn't make it through 20 minutes of this gawd awful movie.  Imagine Sin City written by 3rd graders.  SLJ is great, but even he couldn't save this pile of crap.  I'm a movie fan and I like good and bad movies (for example, I loved Ultraviolet).  But this is a steaming pile of burning diapers.  Horrible!

Family...

The economy sucks.

I'm in sales and I sell office technology. People are just holding off right now and not doing anything. Money has been a little tight.

However, I am having the best time of my life. I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful 2 year old baby girl. We just enjoy spending time together.

Chances are that everyone else is feeling the stress of everyday with all the uncertainty that is going on. Do something unexpected for your spouse this week. Flowers, favorite meal, make arrangements so they have a couple hours to do an activity that they enjoy. Tell them that you love them.

If you have kids...tell them that you love them every day. Even more important...show it. It isn't the big vacations or events that kids remember...it's the small, unyielding acts of love that prove they are your world.
