It's you MUA:2; not me

 I’m sorry MUA:2.  I tried to make this work.  But you’re half the game your predecessor was.  Half the characters, half the powers, half the costumes, half the levels, half the equipment, half the enemies, and most definitely half the fun.  Yes, you are really attractive but, baby, you are lacking substance.   A pretty face is good for a one night stand, but long time exposure to you has bored me the fuck out.  I’m done with you.  Be gone from my abode; I don’t want to play with you anymore. 

I fell asleep playing this game again.  I have it almost beat, but at this point, I have no desire to continue any longer.  They’ve taken almost everything that was interesting about this game and just made a straight beat ‘em up game.  Been there, done that, Castle Crashers did it better.  Now I just want to ship it off and look for the new fix. 

Borderlands is looking pretty damn cool and could fill the void that MUA:2 was supposed to fill.  4-player co-op FPS Diablo clone.  That just sounds cool.  I’ve seen some vids and I’ve played with the character leveling tool.  It all looks nice, but I am a bit worried about the pace of the game.  The vid I watched the team went around and killed little buggers for about 40 minutes.  Not quite the jolt I am looking for.  Sounds like it would be a great rental, but in order to get involved in a good on-line co-op group you need to be there on Day 1.  So...damn. 

Oh, one more thing.  You know how Microsoft has been raping customers with ridiculous prices for on-line attire for your special XBL avatar?  They got me.  I caved.  $4 spent for doll clothes for my little dude.  This is shit that I know nobody will ever even see little Drewsky wear because nobody uses that fucking Friends blade / zone because it takes too long for the Avatars to load.  Wasted money indeed.  But seriously, how could a pass up a royal robe and kick ass crown?  It had to be done in order to protect the legitimacy of my regal authority.  So, if perchance you do spy my little dude parading on your XBL interface, send him a mighty, “HAIL! KING DREWSKY!”  And I will reply with a kind, “Well met, Sir and/or Madam.”

Levity in Brevity

zzzZZZZzzz......

I have developed a new complication that has been hampering my gaming time.  Lately if a game is not fast paced with hordes of baddies barreling down at me,  my eyes get heavy, the controller gets droopy, and I fall asleep on the couch.   This happened last night as I was playing rote jRPG Infinite Undiscovery, which is a horrible name for a game.  Let's just say I Undiscovered the game and re-discovered my couch pillows.  Mmmm....so soft.  This was the first time this happened to me with this game.  And the game not that bad, and it has some killer classical music in the background.  So soothing..zzz.  Anyway, this happened all the time when I played Fallout.  Fallout is a great fucking game but the pace is slower than a constipated snail turd.  I would travel to a new area, kill a few baddies and then rest my eyes for a bit.  Slump...zzz.   I thought it was the beer that was making me doze off, but now I am starting to think I am just too old for slow games.  The devastating duo of Work + Kids is leaving me no energy for trudging along searching for sweet loot.  Maybe I need to switch to Peggle and wear black socks with my sandals.  Shoot me now.

Re: New fall TV show season

What the fuck is with all the dancing and singing bullshit?  Did people with balls stop watching TV?  Ridiculous.

360 bricked - what's my options?

Woot!  Football season is almost here.  You know what that means?  It's a damn good time to pick up last year's Madden for ridiculous prices.  I was able to pick up a copy of Madden09 yesterday for $11 bucks.  I was able to tool around with it a bit last night.  Then, this morning Video Game Karma struck out at me for violating her price sanctities. 

3 red rings.  Console born on date is May 06.  I probably bought my first console in Feb 06.  So, I am definitely over the 3 year warranty period.  Right?  Is it even worth calling Xbox support?

My Hard Drive is full and I kind of want a larger hard drive.  So, swapping out for an Arcade model is probably not an option.  I guess I should go get an Elite.  Any good freebies with those?  They all have Jasper chipsets, right? 

Tank has been speculating that they are going to price drop the Elite in a few weeks.  Should I wait a bit to see if this happens? 

Do they sell them in Green or Orange?  Black is so depressing.
