A dying box?

So over the last couple weeks or so I have run into a frustrating problem. I'll be playing a game...and all of a sudden it will freeze causing me to have to reboot. I've run into that before, but now when I go to turn the xbox back on I get flashing red lights. I let it sit there for awhile and after an hour or so it seems ok to get on again. I have only seemed to have issues with games that have been installed onto the hd. Has anyone heard of that being a problem? As far as I knew that was supposed to keep things running more smoothly and cooler. The 360 itself is on its side with nothing around it and a fan blowing towards it from across the room so it doesn't seem like ventilation is the problem. Suggestions?

One should try to never ignore common sense...

So...common sense...hell just general above half-wit intelligence informs us that if we want peace in our lives...to avoid certain subjects with family.  Now, I was sitting down to a nice little business lunch with some family (yes, I work with family...I already know I broke the first rule ).  I'm not even sure how it got started...but the debate went from politics to religion to social degradation. Now, normally…I know better…I just keep my trap shut and either switch the conversation or stick my nose in a book. Today…the voices wouldn’t let me behave. I’m not going to go into details or my personal beliefs on any of these subjects other then to say I try to take the wide view approach to almost all things in life…because of one main reason…I don’t know everything. Hell, most days I will admit to not knowing anything. Does this mean I’m stupid…no. It means I’d like to think myself intelligent enough to realize there is almost always another side to things and not to shut things out. So back to the story at hand…got into this huge debate with the family over the no-no subjects that lasted nearly 2 hours. So not only did I receive the evil eye, a few muttered curses and one kick to the shin…okay…I made a sarcastic remark about Catholics so I probably deserved the kick, but I have to work late tonight now as well. In my defense…I was raised Catholic so don’t think I was trying to hate on the religion. I will make jokes almost about anything…usually when I know it will get me in trouble anyways just to try and bait people. So anyway…I’m bummed I have to work late.

So damn tired...

I need this week to rest from this weekend.  I mean...I have spent almost all day sessions before playing WoW or even the box, but this weekend really took it out of me.  I had thursday and friday off...spent most my time during the day grinding away in WoW..probably started 7am on Thursday till lord knows when.  Then I got on the box...played that till after midnight...got off that...went and laid down...watched some Naruto (yes I know...not really the best anime out there, but it cracks me up) till 4am or so...got about 3 hours slep then I was back on WoW...can we say wash, rinse, repeat?  So...yeah...Saturday rolls around....spent all day on the box with either Gears 2 or TF2..had a blast....next thing I know...it's Sunday night and I am drained.  Maybe if I had gone to bed last night?  Should probably head to bed now...gotta be up at 5am...but I think I am going to go play a lil more gears. 

In other news, I tried the Hawx demo and I have to say I enjoyed it.  The voice activation attacks were a little slow, but still kind of nifty.  I like the two types of flying modes you can engage in and the graphics were decent.  I'll probably end up renting it still before I get it, but I have missed having a decent flyer game.  Crimson Skies from the original xbox was the game that first sucked me into Live...it may even give WoW a run for its money in hours logged playing.  lol
