3 DAY for the CURE

Yes, I'm doing it again - I signed up for the 2009 Breast Cancer 3-Day! I had such an incredible experience doing the 3-Day last year that I'm going back for more. I'm so excited about this event, even though this year I really know what I've gotten myself into.

I need your help. I am planning on surpassing the $2495 that you - my friends and family - gave so generously last time around to help fight breast cancer. 

As many of you know already, my mother died from complications as a result of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) in 1988. I walked last year in her honor and am doing so again because it was such a powerful experience.

Just found out...I got my MS in Counseling Marriage & Family Therapy

My degree was conferred as of 12-24-2008!  I am so freaking excited to have that part done and now to get my intern registration and work toward the rest of my hours in order to take the licensing exam!

Susan G Komen 3-Day - For The Cure

I am walking in November to raise money for breast cancer.  My mother died as a result of inflammatory breast cancer in January 1988.  I am walking in her honor.  I am hoping to raise $5000 but I need a minimum of $2200 to participate.  I am at $1650 currently.

We all have mothers, some of us are women, some of us have daughters and/or wives, girlfriends etc.  Help raise money to find a cure.  BTW it is also possible for men to be diagnosed with breast cancer tho it doesn't happen as frequently.

I Passed the Exam

Cannot believe I did it but I passed the comprehensive exam that I took in April.  What a relief.  Now I just have to finish up my units and complete my field work hours.  Finishing the hours will likely take until December at the rate I am currently accruing them.  Working full time at a job unrelated to my new career path makes it difficult to really pile up the hours.  Right now I get anywhere from 5 to 10 hours a week.

Two years already

Short entry - thinking about my brother.  He passed away two years ago today and it just doesn't feel like it has been that long.  I miss him.
